Windmere… Upon reaching the end of the corridor, Jules and Simone found themselves standing in an open doorway, which apparently was never closed once the Alliance cleared the palace of bodies, looking out at an extremely overgrown garden. The cobbled path leading from the steps into the lush vegetation was barely visible under the heavy growth of grass and bushes. The early morning air was crisp, the temperature degrees cooler than the palace. Simone looked up and noticed a conduit running along the top edge of the doorway. All ventilation, water, and power lines were concealed in the ceilings or walls inside the palace so there was no chance of finding the power source unless they made calculated holes in the structure.
