Simone directed the blast, which exactly met the incoming laser from the Vancurelian ship. Athena was thrown upside down as she spun backwards, away from the Vancurelian vessel, and towards Windmere. The speed of the rotation increased the G-force inside Athena, making it nearly impossible for Simone or Skyler to reach the controls on the console.
