“You weren’t surprised, were you?” Simone asked.
Skyler shook her head. “I know everyone’s energy, which was elevated and very strong, telling me they were excited and in close proximity.”
“But I have news that you don’t know about,” Simone smiled as if she held the greatest secret.
Derek stepped between them. “And Simone, as lovely as she is,” and he kissed her loudly on the cheek, “isn’t the only one with a surprise.”
“And you can all share your surprises at the celebration tonight. For the next two hours, Skyler is mine,” Aiden smiled as he walked next to Simone.
