Epilogue
The arduous task of recording the wounded and deceased took months. The Alliance teamed with planet citizens to repair structures and return their lives to a semblance of normality. Meetings regarding the incarceration of Vancurelians and Tamplians were seemingly endless. Most were given pardons and choices to enter the Colonial Air Force, or become part of the commerce as the Alliance worked to restructure its laws and purpose. Ceremonies in celebration of life and a new beginning abounded. Individuals were recognized for bravery. One of them was Flenn Santey.
After the presentation of awards at the newly restored dome of the High Council Chambers, he approached Simone and the man with the eye shields who stood protectively next to her.
