CHAPTER 14

Dilip Singh and Rahul Desai Life:

Since childhood, Dilip Singh and Rahul Desai have been best friends. They both trusted each other and used to assist each other when they were in need. They grew up together and began their respective careers.

Out of them, Dilip Singh was quite happy with his father’s business, but Rahul Desai was very greedy and always used to think about how to make more wealth and was not happy with small earnings, but it did not affect the true friendship between them.

Rahul Desai came and worked at different jobs to finish his graduation and make a living. He came across an elderly person with a long beard named Antony, who told him that he could help him earn more money, provided he followed his way of working. Rahul Desai agreed to do whatever Antony wanted him to do. Antony was a wanted criminal, and he eventually framed Rahul Desai for killing someone for money, and he even committed robbery and pushed the crimes onto Rahul Desai, but Rahul still proved himself and cleared his name, but he got a share of the profit for every bad thing that happened. Rahul Desai gradually earned a lot of money and became as wealthy as he desired.

His childhood friend, Dilip Singh, realized Rahul Desai had been doing something illegal to make money and become wealthy. Understanding this, he started avoiding Rahul Desai, and ultimately a distance developed between the two friends.

Rahul Desai earned lots of money and started a number of businesses to become a rich person. Approximately 20 years have passed since the two friends were separated from each other, but no one forgets each other in their hearts. Suddenly, Rahul Desai needed a trusted person to whom he could entrust his business and son to look after him and help him in his last days. He remembers his old friend Dilip Singh and starts searching for him and his whereabouts.

After a long search, he came to know that Dilip Singh was very sick, had lost his business in the market, and must start from scratch. Due to this, he was hospitalized and needed surgery. Rahul Desai thought his friend needed lots of money for his heart surgery and didn’t think about anything else.

Rahul Desai knew that if he gave money to Dilip Singh, he would not take it, as he had earned the money in a dishonest way. But still, he wanted to help him and pay all the hospital charges, amounting to $6,00,000 with the pretext that the money had come from a charity fund.

When Dilip Singh recovered from his illness and surgery, he came to know that someone had paid his hospital expenses and inquired how the money had come and who had paid it. He discovers that the money was arranged by his childhood friend Rahul Desai.

Dilip Singh became angry and got his mobile number from the receptionist, and he called him. He came to know that it was a charity number, and after so many inquiries, he came to know his friend's actual number and called him. Dilip confronted Rahul Desai, threw his money in his face, and asked, "Who do you think I am?" He replied, "I am still a man of dignity, but not as low as you think, and I will never be like that." Rahul Desai simply smiled and replied, "A friend in need is a friend indeed."

Dilip Singh angrily stated that I was sick and lost my property, but I will never lose my dignity, and it will never happen, and God helped me in the way of Thara, and I got my property, and do you know it became the sister company of "Celi Adams Group of Companies," and I am richer than before; my good norms and loyalty helped me.

And I don’t need your bloody money for me to get paid. Rahul Desai gave him a smile and said, "Yes, I earned every penny by doing the wrong things, but I never did anything wrong; I was too greedy to earn because everyone around me is richer than me and has family business to do, including you."

But I was able to clear my name. That is when I got to know about Helena and married her; my path became clearer, and I used that money for my start-up business. Everything I have achieved up to this point is because of my talent and not by doing anything wrong as you think.

Rahul introduced his son Pranav to Dilip; he became silent and approached him for a handshake, and introduced himself as Dilip Singh, and with a very warm smile, Pranav introduced himself as Pranav Helen Desai.

Dilip wrinkled his eyebrows at his unmatched name, and Rahul came in and explained that his actual name was Pranav Desai, but after his mother passed away, he introduced himself as Pranav Helen Desai. Helen stands for his mother’s name, Helena. He loves his mother; she passed away when he was 5 years old, and I, too, don’t want to marry anyone except to spend the rest of my time with my son and other people around me.

Rahul claims that he, too, is tired of everything and longs for a normal life with his friends and grandchildren. My son is 23 years old now and in his final year post-graduation; when he finishes his graduation, he will take a position as the Managing Director for the Desai Group of Companies. I want him to marry a nice girl who is lovable and trustworthy and who will be there for him like his mother, who was there for my every need, and not any money-suckers.
