Chapter 17

JUNGKOOK

I never knew the feeling of real sorrow until today. I just sat their, hugging Lisa as Rosé ran outside screaming for help. Uniformed men and women carrying a stretcher rushed inside the hospital room and carried Lisa's unconscious body out. The girls cried as the guys comforted them. I walked out the room and followed the people who took my girlfriend. They entered an operating room and I was told I could not enter.

"Aneurysm, doctor," I heard one of the nurses say. "She's losing too much blood."

"Sign up the patient for blood transfusion. Call Dr. Kwon right now..." The doctor--who was wearing surgical stuff went in the room together with the other doctors and nurses.

A familiar figure cane running towards the room.

"H-Hyung... Please save her... save Lalisa. J-Jebal..."

My tears statted to fall on my cheek. I begged and begged. Lisa's uncle Jiyong was wearing surgical stuff as well while Seunghyung and Seungri went to calm me down.

"I will. I promise," he said then went in. I wanted to go too. I wanted to be there for her. I want to see her.

"Jungkook stop!" The two men tried to stop me but I just shoved them away.

"Lisa! Lisa!" I was crying my eyeballs out. I couldn't breathe. My blood covered hospital gown just made my chest constrict more.

"Kookie! Stop it!" I heard Jimin hyung yell. I fell more people hold me but I kept shoving them away.

"Lisa!!!"

Taehyung fell on the floor with Hobi hyung. Namjoon and Seungri armlocked me as Seunghyun hyung blocked the the door.

"Get a hold of yourself, Jeon Jungkook!" Jin hyung yelled. "You can't go in there! You'll make Lisa's condition worsen because of infection! Calm down 'coz Jiyong hyung will save her. Arasseo?!"

My breathing became heavy as I tried my best to calm down. I crouched down and just sat there.

"She'll be okay, Kookie. She will..."

She was okay. Was. She woke up and smiled at me. But then blood came out of her mouth and lost consciousness. I'm not dumb. I know it meant something has gone wrong.

This was all my fault. I did this to her. If I didn't go to Jackson's dorm and just asked for help, she wouldn't be in this situation. If I just listened to her--

"Jungkook..." Rosé noona sat beside me. "Don't overthink, okay? She'll be safe. Our Lalisa is a fighter. She'll be fine."

A few hours had passed and still, no feedback from the doctors. Nurses came in and out, rushing with this and that and every single time I would ask if my girlfriend was okay. They didn't say much except for she's in good hands.

I kept punching the wall and sat in a corner. Everyone's waiting for Jiyong hyung to come out.

"She's in a stable condition now," I heard the man's voice said. I quickly got up and went to him. "But she must remain in the ICU. She had an minor case of aneurysm but we got it on time. She'll be under close supervision and only a few visitors are allowed at a time. And you, young man, follow me."

I did as what I was told and we ended up in the his office--I think. He took out a small kit and from there got some gauze and medical tape.

"She's gonna be okay," Jiyong hyung said. "She needs more rest and she'll be fine. The scary part is now over, Jungkook. You just have to watch over her more from now on..."

I flinched as he cleaned my wound. It stung like hell but it didn't hurt as much as how it did when I held Lisa in my arms unconscious. Twice.

"Be very careful, Jungkook," he said. "Yugyeom isn't the only one you should be afraid of. Lisa... she's a chaebol. She might not look like a typical heiress but she is one. More bad guys will be after her so please protect her."

"I will," he answered. I didn't know she was a chaebol. I thought it was Jin. "But YK Pharma is Jin's, right?"

Jiyong hyung looked at me. "Yes. But Lisa, she owns everything. Her parents are the major shareholders 'coz her mom was the eldest. Then Jin's mom and then me. Her father also owns a chain of hospitals in Thailand."

"I didn't know." I was surprised. And then intimidated.

"There's another thing you must be wary about."

"What is it?"

"She's arranged to be married when she reaches 23..."
