20 I sent a full report about the work done and the bill to Mr. Goward, informing him I could hand over the work in person on the weekend if he wanted to. He agreed, and I met him on the porch of his house, as he contemplated the destruction. "I only destroyed what was necessary," I informed him. "As if it were my house." "I see," Mr. Goward said.
