"The cheek!" Major Craen was sitting at the room Dana had given Professor Bedwen for his use as an office.
He had left after breakfast, after Jack politely offered his help in escorting him out.
He spent most of the day in the inn, hiding from the heat, and came back fuming. The polite smile and the pointed respect with which Dana addressed him during dinner didn't help, and now he was pacing the Professor's room.
