Diploma in hand, my family appeased, I only had to wait before Jack sold his apartment and got his reassignment. So I spent my time well, using my time at the company to study the reports from the pilot plant, make some notes, and memorize a lot of documents.
For secrecy reasons, I wasn't supposed to carry a single document home. Mr. Bamber watched me like a hawk, making sure I didn't make any unauthorized copies.
But I had an excellent memory, so I just memorized everything I could, scribbling down everything in the evenings. I went to sleep reading the heavy books on project management and construction law Grandpa had given me.
