New life

I look out the window, viewing the trees and countryside passing by me at miles an hour. I admired the scenery flying by me as it shined its beauty. I snap out of my thoughts at the sound of my sister;  "UH, are we there yet? Is this how you treat royalty?" she said aggressively. The driver continued driving and ignored my sister's unnecessary remark. I'm still in shock that I'm stuck with her in my future. I'll just try to stay away during my time here.                                        ~Time Skip~ We enter through the castle gates, I'm in shock. The architecture of the castle is shining in gold. The gardens surrounding the castle are amazing, all kinds of flowers were placed there.  We drive to the front of the castle. Two people are waiting for us at the entrance. One looks like a guard from the castle and the other one was a woman who looked like a housekeeper; The car stops and we get out. The girl speaks;  "Hello, welcome to the Ross estate; My name is Mary and this is Joseph. We will be assisting you as you settle into the castle," she said with a smile.  If more people like her existed, the world might be a better place. The guard got our bags and the maid began to show us the palace.   "So obviously, this is the main hall. Most party events occur here, but also gatherings of regional elites." I could tell that Rebecca didn't care much for the detail of the palace, she only wanted to see the king and queen's quarters and the throne room.  We continue to walk, while Mary showed us the different parts of the castle. Then we finally made it to the throne room;  "So as you can see, this is the throne room. The king and queen only spend time here in times of court appeals or punishment. But regardless, you aren't supposed to fool around in her-" Before she could finish, we saw Rebecca sitting in the queen's seat.  "Uh...ma'am, you aren't supposed to be sitting there," Mary said nervously.  "I'm not, I'm just seeing the view I'll be seeing soon," she said.  "Actually, you are not going to be seated next to her majesty unless she's conducting a personal meeting," said Mary. I could see confusion all over Rebecca's face and it was hysterical.   "Ok, so there is a chance? Like a little?" said Rebecca.  "Yeah, but very small," Mary said. "Well, let me take you to your rooms," she said guiding us. We walk across endless hallways until we halt at one room and turns to Rebecca;  "This is your room, Ms. Dove, you will receive a list of basic duties you'll handle throughout your stay," Mary said as she opened the door.  "I guess this is where we leave off "sis." See you later." said Rebecca while walking into the room and throwing herself on the bed. Mary closed the room door and began to walk me down the hallways once again.  "So, you're the Ross descendant?" she said.  "Apparently so," I said  "You don't seem that excited about it."   "Well, your life didn't change from having to struggle to have someone else do your dirty work," I said angrily.  "I wouldn't be so sure about that," she said walking towards a large door. She opens it to reveal a large bed in the center. When you walk in, you see a vanity with a closet on one side and an open terrace on the other.  "Well, Ms. Ross, this will be your room during your time here," she said.  "Wow, are all the royal rooms this big?" I asked  "No, this is only the small one, the Queen wanted a whole wing of the castle as their room so she can have "Room for more" which is basically just making herself feel more powerful."  We both chuckled at that explanation.  "Well, I should let you get settled in. Have a good night, Princess Maze," she said bowing.  "Please just Maze is fine," I said. She smiled and left the room.  I couldn't believe that this is my new life. I unpack some basic stuff, before taking a long, warm shower and heading to bed. I drifted to sleep praying that life won't surprise me anymore then it has.
