Chapter Twenty Two

The King

After his talk with Mia, the king went straight to his meeting room and mindlinked his son to meet him there.

The king tapped his fingers impatiently on the desk. He only had one son and he was the hardest child to raise. So far his daughters showed more level headness than his only son. Luckily his son still had time to change and he was hoping that with Zac finding his mate that it would push him in the right direction and force him to grow up.

Twenty minutes later Zac walked into the meeting room. "Good morning Father, what brings you back so early." Zac lazily asked. "Well you couldn't just drop a bomb on me like you did last night and expect me to stay away. I came to meet my new daughter in law." the king explained.

"So tell me everything about her." the king said.

"Well, she is truly the most beautiful shewolf this kingdom has ever seen. Other than that, I can't tell you much about her. I need to have her move from her chambers to be by her rightful place as my wolf is wanting to protect her." Zac said and he had other images in his head of where her rightful place was.

"Well surely you know her name? Which pack does she come from? What is her bloodline?" the king enquired to try and get more information from Zac.

Zac thought about his questions and he realised that he did not know where she came from. He could sense that she had a strong bloodline, like maybe an Alpha bloodline but he only knew her name.

" Ummm... I only know her first name. It's Mia." Zac said but felt stupid. The kings face suddenly lit up with the biggest smile ever. "Well would you believe that. My beautiful little advisor is your mate." the king said.

"Your what?" Zac quickly responded.

"Yes. She's the Alpha's daughter from True waters pack. She also happens to be very intelligent and will make a fine future queen.... However when I spoke to her this morning she did not say anything and it did not look like she was hiding anything when I told her my son had found his mate." the king spoke.

"ummmm yes father, about that. She kinda does not know that I'm her mate." Zac informed his father.

"How is that even possible?" the king asked in confusion. "It's complicated." Zac replied. "Well how's about you uncomplicate it and go and sort things out with your mate. I still want grandpups before I get too old" the king firmly said.

Zac burst out laughing at his father's wording. "What you laughing at?" the king asked with a stern look.

"About that.... You might be getting grandpups sooner than you think." Zac said while smirking.

"What? You didn't even know her last name and she is already carrying your pup?" the king said while he was still in shock.

"Don't blame me. The first time we met, we were both in wolf form and I was unable to control my wolf..... It just happened." Zac truthfully told his father.

"Oh well, that's an unlucky meeting but a heir is always warmly welcomed. Shame, that poor girl. Can you imagine what she must be going through." the king said.

"Either way it is my pup and she is mine so she will be moved to my chambers." Zac firmly said.

"Just go easy on the poor girl. She is quite shy and this must of been a lot for her to go through. Also we will be announcing your new mate and royal advisor at the ball tomorrow" The king advised his son.

Zac rolled his eyes. Yeah he thought, she went through a lot already. She pretty much went though his Beta in no time at all. It's time to lock her down in place. "Father, my mate can no longer be your royal advisor as she has her future Luna roll to learn." Zac stated.

"And why could she not be both? She is not the queen yet. She can still have the roll of royal advisor until she becomes the queen." the king informed him.

"That I will not allow father. She belongs to me and should be by my side. It has been a nice chat father but I must go and speak to my mate." Zac said and left his father alone in the meeting room.
