Daisy's POV I knew I looked good but the way he was staring at me made me question that idea. I wait for a compliment that never came. Is he disappointed? Do I look that horrible? He clenches his fist as I approach him with my ego at it's all time low. Why do I allow him to do this to me? I avoid his eyes as he maintains his silence. I blame myself internally for expecting a situation out of a romance novel where he would be star-struck by me. After all the pleasantries, Hunter and I both leave and my father and nanny said they'd come soon after. When he opens the passenger door of his sleek car for me, I slide in still avoiding his gaze. Stop behaving this way, he doesn't owe you any compliment. He climbs in the driver's side and grips the staring wheel hard.
