Thank you.
The compliment means much.

Harper,
I saw you save that blonde boy from getting pummelled. I was proud of you. Still am.
-NS
-
NS,
Well he didn't bother to even say thank you.
-Harper
-
Maybe he can't.

The school suspended the two boys who had threatened Nick outside the school.
Nick was his name.
Yeah, I know. I would know considering they called me in for questioning.
I earned a week of detention for breaking Danny's nose and a scolding from my mother for resenting to voilence.
I didn't care anyway. It was for him. It's just that for some reason keeping him safe was all that mattered.
The thing is, it was more than Frankie triggering me to act in such a way.
-
NS,
What could you possibly mean? I helped the guy out and he just ran for it.
-Harper
-
Harper,
He could've wanted too.
But he couldn't.
He would, but he knew he couldn't. Don't you know? He doesn't have a voice. He relies on silence.

So long story short, yeah. I'm mute.
I don't talk, not that I can, and like I said myself, I rely on my silence to get by. Not a good thing to rely on, but it gets me somewhere.
-
NS,
Alright then.
-Harper
-
Harper,
Tell me more. About your family. I'm only seeing surface.
-NS
-
NS,
My family isn't that much of a big whoop dude. All I can really expand on is the moving. Mt dad would always move our family around the world for work. I've lived in so many places from China to Australia, even to the United States.
It was hard making friends until my dad decided to settle here in the UK. Which was good I suppose, considering family is here.
NS, all I've ever wanted was a normal happy life. Now, at this rate it feels like I'll never get that.
I'll never even get to have a proper prom.
-Harper
-
Harper,
What do you mean?
-NS
-
NS,
I WANT TO TAKE YOU TO PROM.
-Harper
-
harper
Just why did I say that.
-
nick
Oh?
-
harper
Might as well come out with all the s**t I've been thinking.
