Four weeks.
Mira stared at the screen, feeling the mate bond pulse in her chest. Four weeks until it was truly over. Until she could move forward without the supernatural connection dragging her back.
Until she could move in with Valeblack without guilt.
Her phone buzzed. Valeblack.
*Good morning. Coffee later? I have news. Not good news.*
Her stomach dropped. *What happened?*
*Rather discuss in person. My office. Noon?*
*I'll be there.*
