Nora She didn’t really trust these people; she was sure Leah meant well with the pep talk and she was sure she believed what she said. But she didn’t, for one moment, think that they would just let her go. But if Leah could get her close enough to her car where she had left her keys in the ignition earlier that morning, then she would take that chance. At least she had brought her some food as well, since her stomach had been sounding off the protest of not eating anything since before her shift at the bar. She would need to give everyone short notice of her disappearing, because she didn’t doubt that the mad man would follow her and just take her back. She wasn’t sure what he expected to do with her; but he hadn’t even tried to break the door down before. Maybe he had decided to starve
