Fuck.
That’s quite literally the only word that comes to mind.
I’ve stared at my phone for the thousandth time in the last hour, mulling over these goddamned messages.
I swore to myself I’d never kill someone without good reason, but right now…. There is another man that my Lilah is interested in. A man that she knows virtually nothing about outside his crimes, and she wants to meet him.
That should theoretically have my heart doing somersaults of joy, because if she can overlook murder, she can accept my past.
