Lachlan fumbles with his key card as I still sway on his shoulder. I’ve had the perfect view of his back muscles flexing and clenching with every quickened step, and I think I’ve found a new obsession. I’d mindlessly scrolled social media, watching videos of men in the dark, their faces obscured by masks or even their own hands. Some are just mirror shots with dim lighting and flexing muscles. I wonder if Lachlan would allow me an in-person view of his muscles in dim lighting.
