Chapter 2

Chrissy POV

The next morning I woke up to a loud pop noise coming from the living room. I went to investigate to make sure no one was in the house, as my husband and kids were at work and school. When I have seen that everything is where I left it and nothing appears to be missing. I cleaned up the mess I made last night and I notice that my crystal was missing which concerned me since its a powerful amulet and the center control for my powers. As I was looking for it on the floor I notice that the map I had laid out was ripped as if the crystals sliced through looking for something and it ended in my globe left in the office in the hallway. I noticed that the crystal exploded and all the shards are sticking out in the New York section. At first, I was confused as of why it exploded she was hit with the sudden realization that she finally found Aurora, where the state anyway as this is the closest she ever came. After cleaning up her mess and trying to figure out how to fix her crystal, she went to consult with elders and see if they’ve heard anything. The elders in the wolf pack are very traditional, so they seem very brutal at first but their ways get results. As I was walking to the tents where the elders reside, she saw one called emb was waving me over quickly. “Good Morning Elder, how can I help you?” She said as she entered the tent. “We have received word of a powerful aura and we think she might we the niece you’ve been looking for?” ‘Oh wow’ she thought, this is it finally she was getting the answers she needs. “Yes Emb I've gotten word this morning on her location but it's still not enough, I was hoping you would have more information”. Emb went back to smoke and inhaled, preparing herself for a vision quest of the sort to see any information we might have missed. Once Emb was done, she came over and sat down, She said” Yes I see her, very beautiful girl but very sad”. That broke my heart, but I spoke up “My poor baby, I need to get to her so that she can be with her family”. Emb was looking at me and I wonder what she is thinking, “She is in New York State New York, downtown but her exact address is still unknown”. This is more information I’ve received in years. “Why now Emb"? why is she showing up now?” Emb got up and walked over to her stove to pull hotter into the coals. “She just turned 18, and whatever spell that was placed on her was preventing her to use her powers and as you know your powers aura is what helps you guys find each other”. “I never thought of it that way, if her powers were locked up for 12 years, they are gonna manifest in the worst way”. I got up and went out the door and went to find my husband with this new information I’ve found.

Xander POV

“So I’m thinking that if double up on patrol around the west border, we should keep any rogue at a minimum as long as we get them before they touch this territory” William my beta told everyone at the pack meeting. Rogue’s attacks have gotten to be a huge problem lately, not just my pack but our neighbors as well, and it is starting to get my nerves. We have been able to prevent them from getting in but it's only a matter of time that we are going to make a mistake and they will take their shot. I look around and I can see the fear and worrisome looks on everyone and I’m feeling hopeful and wishing now my girl would appear and help calm down so I can focus at but I know it never will. “Okay sounds good to me Will, but eventually we need to find out why they are doing this and if it's a war they want”. I walked to my chair and sat down, I’ve been so tired since I’ve been up for the past two days, my wolf howling for his mate. I’m 20 years old and I still haven’t found my mate and with my parent breathing down my neck to marry some she-wolf just so I have a luna but it doesn’t belong to anyone but my mate.

The next few days have been really quiet, no random attacks at the border and my warriors have been watching for any activity day and night, so I took this the opportunity to go see my grandmother Emb, who I love dearly since she took care of since my parents were absent. When I arrived at her tent she was talking to our resident witch and one of my warrior’s Kyle mate. She sounded so upset so I shouldn’t be listening but something was telling me to in the back of the head. “ Yes I see her, very beautiful girl but very sad”, I heard Emb say to Chrissy but she just sobbed, “my poor baby, I need to get to her so that she can be with her family”. I wonder who they were talking about but I continued to listen, “Why now Emb, why is she showing up now?”. I also heard that this girl is in New York and just turned 18 which is confusing as to why that has to do with anything. Just as I was about to leave I heard Chrissy say, “I never thought of it that way, if her powers were locked up for 12 years, they are gonna manifest in the worst way”. After hearing that someone could possibly be in danger I couldn’t stand by anymore as it’s my job as Alpha King to make sure everyone is safe. I walked and Chrissy was shocked to see me but smirked, “I thought I felt someone listening but I didn’t expect you sir”, my face going red but shook it off. “Chrissy I did overhear what you saying and I want to help but I need you to tell me everything”.

Charlie POV

Since celebrating my Birthday last week, things have been getting weird. Things are moving around on there own or appearing out of nowhere. Olivia once said she thought she saw me float on my own bed one coming in from the club LeFronte where she works as a waitress but requires late hours. I currently work at a coffee shop that was just around the corner but unfortunately it is littered with drug dealers and hookers. Every morning I would go into work only to either get hit on or get offers to GOD like its a good thing. Things have gotten better since leaving the group home two weeks ago, well they were as bad as it was since we now have our own freedom. My whole has been difficult but I won’t give up, I will find my place in this crappy world.

Xander POV

Walking Chrissy to the packhouse where my office resides, I had one of my guards bring in her mate Kyle in case she needed the emotional support. While waiting on him I had Chrissy tell me some basics of what’s happening. “Sir for the past 12 years I have been looking for my niece Aurora, she hasn’t been sighted until last night when I cast a location spell on her birthday”. Kyle walked in looking shocked to see his mate sitting with me. “Hey, everything okay?” He was looking scared like something happen. “Oh baby I finally found her, she is still alive”. Kyle looked impassive and I wonder what he’s thinking. “Are you sure, cause I don’t want you to get your hopes up”, He looked up at the ceiling and then looked back at Chrissy, “I know how long you have been looking for her and I don’t want anyone getting hurt. Chrissy just smiled at him and gave him a big hug, “I know baby and but I have confirmation from Emb that she is alive and living in New York”. Kyle just gave a heartfelt laugh, “Well damn let's go get her”. I was happy for them to be able to find her, but they need to plan this out first. “I’ll have one of my guys look into finding her for you, what is her name?” I said as I went to my desk to call him. Chrissy looked conflicted, “Her birth name is Aurora, but she probably doesn’t go by that anymore since she was taken”. That was a problem but she did say witches can find each other. “I wonder if we to go to New York and try your spell again will it show us where exactly” Chrissy looked at me like I gave her all the answers of the world. “That’s brilliant Alpha,” she said to me and then turned to Kyle “I need to go and get my things prepared, We are going to New York”. For some reason my wolf is stirring like crazy and wants out for a run, “I’ll be going as well, might need some help”. Something tells me I won’t be forgetting this trip for a long time.
