( Rain )
There was a time before the cells. I was playing on the playground with my parents watching close by when I first met him. He was handsome even as a kid. He was also the next in line alpha to my pack. His name was Jax and he was my mate. Once I found out that he was my mate I went to the park everyday to play with him. He and I would run and play all over the park. We would even chase each other in our wolf pup forms. This went on for a few months until suddenly he changed.
Suddenly he didn’t want to play with me anymore. He started to bully me and so did my parents. Everyone I loved was turning against me. I started to get beat up every day until my tenth birthday. That day I had reserved the worst beating yet and was then thrown into the pack cells. The last thing my so called parents said to me was that they wished they had never had me and that they disowned a pathetic accuse of a wolf like me. As for Jax, the boy meant to be my mate, his words still haunt my nightmares. “You are not worthy to be my mate.” He had said with hatred in his eyes. “I, Jack Night, soon to be alpha of the Silver Sunrise pack hereby reject you, Buraindo Gekido, as my mate and future co-alpha of this pack.” He finished and with that left me to rot in this cell. “I accept the rejection.” I murmured as his footsteps faded away.
A few hours after that, around midnight, I smelled the Alpha coming towards my cell along with some strangers. They stopped in front of my cell and talked for a moment in hushed voices. Once they were finished the alpha opened the cell and one of the strangers walked in with a heavy silver collar and cuffs. Once he had them on he dragged me from the cell, up the stairs to outside where a black van was waiting. He and his companions tossed me into a large dog cage closed the door, leaving the rest to fall into nightmares.

“Rain...” “Rain! Are you listening?” Yoru’s voice broke through my dark thoughts. “Hu? Oh, sorry baby I was lost in thought.” I tell him as I sit up on the couch in his office. I listen as he types away at his keys on his computer. “I was saying that we will be having some visitors this afternoon. They will be an Alpha from a few packs over and his beta.” Yoru tells me. I nod and stand up to stretch. I feel Rōzu lean against my leg so I reach down and pet her. “I think Rōzu needs to go on a run and I know my wolf is wanting out.” I tell him. “Alright, just be back in a few hours to meet the Alpha.” He says in a distracted tone. I shrug it off and let Rōzu lead me through the house and out into the the nearby forest.
I strip out of my clothes and shift into my wolf. There was something wrong with him today, he was pacing around in my mind. He seemed really aggravated and could sense something bad coming. I shake my head and follow the sound of running water from the small waterfall Rōzu and I had found awhile back. She and I decided to take a small rest there then we ran throughout the edges the trees until it was time to head back to the house. Something felt off as I was changing back into my clothes though. As if someone was watching me but I shrugged it off and followed Rōzu back to the house and up to Yoru’s office.
I took one step into his office and froze. The scents that hit my nose were like a slap to the face. There was Yoru’s sent of corse but at the moment it was only just keeping the storm of emotions at bay. Rōzu stood against my side and growled at the man who stood a few feet away from us. “Enough Rōzu,” Come Yoru’s command from behind the man and his beta. “We do not growl at our guests.” His voice was getting closer until I could hear his heartbeat right next to me. He pulled me into his chest and whispered in my ear. “Breath Rain, your having a panic attack and you need to calm down.” He continues to whisper comforting words in my ear until I am able to breath normally again. “You ok now?” He asks. “I will not be ok until the people in front of me are gone and off of our lands.” I tell him as I feel Rōzu push against me as she continued to growl at the men not allowing them to get any closer.
I heard the man sniff at the air catching my sent. “Buraindo, is that you?” He asked. “Hello Jax.” I say through a link that I opened for everyone in the office “It really is you!” He said hope and excitement entering his voice. I growled at him. “Why are you here Jax? Because whatever the reason the answer is no.” I tell him harshly. “But you are the reason I’m here.” He tells me.
I couldn’t take it anymore and my inner wolf nor Rōzu were having it. My wolf took control and forced me to shift. He growled and snapped his teeth at the man in front of him. “ My human wants nothing to do with you!” He said with a loud growl. “But Ash…” Jax tried to say only to get two growling wolfs inch closer making him be quiet. “Now hold on just a moment, tell me what is going on here please Ash.” Yoru said as he moved to stand between us and our prey. “That so called ‘Alpha’ is Rain and I’s first mate.” Ash tells him while I await his response with fear and nervousness. Yoru is quite for a moment until I feel gentle hands run through my fur calming Ash down and allowing my to have control again. “Don’t worry Rain, you will always be mine.” He whispered to me before he turned to face the other Alpha with a growl. “And just why did you come looking for Rain?” He asks with a deathly calm tone. I could smell the fear rolling off of Jax in waves and I smirk. “I was looking for him to see if he would come back to my pack with me.” He says. Yoru growls at Jax as his wolf moves to share control with his human, their voices blending and mixing together. “You will not be taking my mate anywhere with you. Nor do you have any right to come and search for him. You are the one who rejected him. You are the one who allowed him to be sold like a slave. You are to blame for your problems, not Rain.” They said in unison.
Jax submitted to the power of the stronger Alpha. “But Alpha Yoru..” he tried. “No. You will leave my land and do help me if even think about coming back I will not hesitate in stopping you.” Yoru said in his normal voice. Jax bowed his head in respect and motioned for his pack mates to follow him. Sabastian made a sound excusing himself and followed Jax out of the room, no doubt making sure he left the territory for good.
