Nate's POV :
I put my foot down on the accelerator and sped off down the street. I was furious. How dare she send me away to that jerks house. I hadn't seen or spoken to that man in almost three years and I wasn't planning on ever contacting him either. I took a deep breath and sighed. "Only one year...one year than I can leave for good" I thought to myself.
2 hours went by and still another hour to go. I started to think back to the memories of this town to which I was now heading back to. I rearranged the review mirror to face me and ran my fingers through my jet back hair. I was a different person back then. My hair was now longer and and I was covered in tattoos. I looked dangerous and was fearless, not like back then. I was your typical high school, football quarterback. I was popular and fake. I bite down on my tounge, trying to push the memories aside. I hadn't thought about where I grew up for a long time. I had pushed it far in the back of my mind.
Finally reaching my destination, I pulled into a long street with only two houses and the forest in the back drop. As I pull into the drive way and look up at the house, the anger starts to stir within. I jump out of the car and look at the front door, just for him to appear. "It's 10 past 5am....Your up early" I say with venom in my voice. He raises his eyebrow and smiles. "Nathan...you've change quite a bit my son" he replies optimistically. I snicker at his words. "Nathan...nobody calls me that anymore. The names Nate! Henry" I reply. He throws his head back and laughs at my response. "Everyone in the big city my son, not here...your still known as Nathan in this town" I roll my eyes and take out a ciggy from my front pocket, lighting it up as I turn away.
"Ah your mother did mention your new found habit" he said with slight concern, then headed towards the boot of my car. "lets gets you unpacked shall we? only a few more hours til school starts". "seriously!" I raise my voice. "I just drove three hours to get here and you expect me to still go in on the first day?" "Yes son" he replied calmly, "that was the deal, remember?" I huff in my defeat. "it's almost 5.30am, why are your even up?" I say whilst blowing smoke towards the sky. "Everyone here is up by 5.30am son, there is much to do on these farms and such little time" he replies while lifting a few boxes in his arms. I look around to see if anyone else is up, so I can defend my claim and as if he knew what I was thinking he then says while walking towards the front door "see". I look over to the direction his head nodded towards and there she was.
She was bent over putting on boots. Even though her long blonde hair covered her face I could tell she was naturally beautiful. She then rose as if she knew she was being watched and look directly at me. Her body evenly portioned and toned. She was memorizing and captivating all of my attention as she slipped on her jacket and ran her hands through her hair. Her eyes never left mine. I wanted to know to more about her, she intrigued me. "Wow" I thought to myself. I threw my ciggy on the ground and stepped on it, preparing myself to go over to her, when her expression changed. something was wrong and I found myself egar to find out what.
