  "Tonight will be memorable, don't you worry," he said, smirking as he gestured for her to follow him. "It's been a while since we had someone with that fire in their eyes. Let's see how long it lasts."   Elizabeth's hands clenched as she stepped forward, her resolve hardening with each step. She refused to let him see her fear, to give him any satisfaction from her pain.
