Elizabeth's hands clenched as she stepped forward, her resolve hardening with each step. She refused to let him see her fear, to give him any satisfaction from her pain. As he led her back down the hallway, past the rows of girls trapped in despair, Elizabeth's heart ached for each of them, her determination only growing stronger.
This place would not defeat her. She would find a way to escape, and when she did, she would come back for them all. They would be free- together.
