I looked at him confused.
“What’re you talking about?”
“What were we fighting about earlier?”
Then I remembered everything. I looked away from him.
“I don’t know.”
He got on his knees and gently grabbed my face so I could look at him.
“I’m sorry baby. If I could do it over, I would. I just-”
He stopped and looked down.
“You have a lot going on and I didn’t want to add more to your plate. You’ve been stressed out lately and I just wanted to try and make things easier for you but I just made them worse by not telling you sooner.”
He looked back up at me and I could see the tears in his eyes.

I kissed him to make him stop talking. I held his face in my hand.
