NAMIKO Waking up with sore eyes, after crying all through the night. An unbearable ache in my head rose with me. I blinked to clear my vision, rising from my bed. A part of me felt surprised that I was alone, but I shrugged off the thought. I wasn't anyone special here. Just another stray. “You are awake.” I looked up to see Annabeth, beside her was the mini version of her, the one who had shown up to help the first time I came here. “G–Good morning.” Annabeth approached me with a warm smile and joined me on my bed. Her daughter followed with only a few steps forward. “How are you faring?” She asked, touching my forehead with the back of her palm. “I am fine.” I lied, despite the solid ache I was feeling.
