MEDELA: Hello, Jovita? It's me, Medela. I know you probably don't want to talk to me, but I really need to say something.
JOVITA: (sighs) What is it, Medela?
MEDELA: I'm sorry, Jovita. I'm so sorry for what I did. I know it was wrong and stupid and selfish. I don't know what came over me. I was selfish ... I'm not making excuses. I just want you to know that I regret it so much. You're my best friend, Jovita. I don't want to lose you over a guy.
JOVITA: Medela, I'm not going to lie. I was hurt and angry when I found out. I felt betrayed . You kissed my boyfriend, Medela. How could you do that to me?
MEDELA: I know, I know. It was a terrible thing to do. I don't expect you to forgive me right away. But please, Jovita, can we at least talk? Can we try to fix this? I miss you so much. You're like a sister to me.
JOVITA: (pauses) I miss you too, Medela. You're like a sister to me too. But I don't know if I can trust you again. How do I know you won't do something like that again?
MEDELA: You have to trust me, Jovita. I swear, I'll never do anything to hurt you again. I learned my lesson. I don't care about him anymore. He's not worth it. You're the only one who matters to me.
JOVITA: (softens) Really?
MEDELA: Really. I promise.
JOVITA: (sniffs) Okay, Medela. Okay. I'll give you another chance. But you have to prove it to me. You have to show me that you're sorry and that you value our friendship.
MEDELA: I will, Jovita. I will. Thank you so much. Thank you for being so kind and generous. You're the best friend I ever had.
JOVITA: You're welcome, Medela. You're the best friend I ever had too.
MEDELA: So, can we meet up? Can we go out for some coffee and talk about other stuff?
JOVITA: Sure, Medela. Sure. I'd like that.
MEDELA: Great. How about tomorrow? At the usual place?
JOVITA: Sounds good. I'll see you then.
MEDELA: Okay. Bye, Jovita.
JOVITA: Bye, Medela.
(They hang up. They both smile and wipe their tears.)
SATURDAY....
(The next day being a Saturday morning, MEDELA and JOVITA are sitting at a coffee shop, chatting and laughing.)
MEDELA: I'm so glad we're friends again, Jovita. I really missed you.
JOVITA: Me too, Medela. Me too. I'm sorry I was so harsh on you. I know you made a mistake, but you're still my best friend.
MEDELA: Thank you, Jovita. Thank you for forgiving me. You're the best.
JOVITA: So, how are you doing? How's your love life?
MEDELA: (shrugs) Nothing much. I'm not seeing anyone right now. I'm focusing on myself.
JOVITA: That's good, Medela. That's good. You deserve some time for yourself. You don't need a man to be happy.
MEDELA: (smiles) Thanks, Jovita. You're right. I don't need a man to be happy. But it would be nice to have someone to share my happiness with.
JOVITA: (nods) I get that. I get that. But don't worry, Medela. You'll find someone soon. Someone who will love you and respect you and treat you right.
MEDELA: (sighs) I hope so, Jovita. I hope so.
(As they are talking, a guy walks into the coffee shop. He is tall and muscular, with tattoos and piercings. He has a leather jacket and a bandana. He looks around and spots MEDELA. He walks towards her table.)
GUY: Hey, ladies. How are you doing?
MEDELA: (surprised) Hi. We're fine. How are you?
GUY: I'm good. I'm good. I just came in for a coffee. But then I saw you and I thought, wow, she's beautiful. I had to come and say hi.
MEDELA: (blushes) Oh. Thank you. That's very kind of you.
GUY: No, thank you. For brightening up my day. What's your name, gorgeous?
MEDELA: I'm Medela. And this is my friend Jovita.
GUY: Nice to meet you, Medela and Jovita. I'm dave
JOVITA: (smiles politely) Hi, Dave.
DAVE: So, Medela, can I buy you a coffee?
MEDELA: (hesitates) Um, sure. Why not?
DAVE: Great. What do you want?
MEDELA: I'll have a cappuccino, please.
DAVE: And you, Jovita?
JOVITA: I'm good, thanks. I already have a latte.
DAVE: Okay, then. One cappuccino coming up. Be right back.
(He goes to the counter and orders a coffee. MEDELA and JOVITA look at each other.)
JOVITA: (whispers) Wow, Medela. He's really into you.
MEDELA: (whispers) Yeah, I guess. But he's not really my type.
JOVITA: (whispers) Why not? He's handsome and confident and charming.
MEDELA: (whispers) He's also too...tug ish. He looks like he's in a gang or something. He's not the kind of guy I usually go for.
JOVITA: (whispers) Maybe you should try something new. Maybe he's a nice guy underneath all that leather and ink.
MEDELA: (whispers) I don't know, Jovita. I don't know.
(DAVE returns with a coffee and gives it to MEDELA.)
DAVE: Here you go, Medela. A cappuccino for a beautiful lady.
MEDELA: (smiles awkwardly) Thank you, DAVE. That's very sweet of you.
DAVE: You're welcome, Medela. You're very sweet yourself.
(He sits down next to MEDELA and starts a conversation with her. He asks her about her hobbies, her dreams, her family, etc. He makes her laugh with his jokes and compliments. He touches her arm and leans in close. MEDELA tries to be polite and friendly, but she feels uncomfortable and trapped. She looks at JOVITA for help, but JOVITA just smiles and nods.)
DAVE: So, Medela, can I have your number? I'd love to see you again.
MEDELA: (nervously) Um, sure. Why not?
(She gives him her number. He saves it on his phone and kisses her hand.)
DAVE: Thank you, Medela. You've made my day. I'll call you soon, okay?
MEDELA: (forces a smile) Okay. Sure.
DAVE: Well, I better get going. I have some business to attend to. But it was a pleasure meeting you, Medela. And you too, Jovita.
JOVITA: (cheerfully) Likewise, Chidi. Take care.
DAVE: You too. Bye, ladies.
(He gets up and leaves. MEDELA and JOVITA watch him go.)
JOVITA: Wow, Medela. He really likes you.
MEDELA: (sighs) Yeah, I guess. But I don't like him.
JOVITA: Why not? He's a nice guy.
MEDELA: He's not my type, Jovita. He's too tug ish.
JOVITA: Maybe you should give him a chance. Maybe he's not what he seems.
MEDELA: I don't think so, Jovita. I don't think so.
(She looks at her phone and sees a text from DAVE)
DAVE: Hey, Medela. It's me, Dave. I had a great time with you today. You're amazing. Can't wait to see you again. XOXO
MEDELA: (groans) Oh, no.
JOVITA: What? What is it?
MEDELA: It's him. He texted me.
JOVITA: What did he say?
MEDELA: He said he had a great time with me and he can't wait to see me again.
JOVITA: That's sweet.
MEDELA: That's creepy.
JOVITA: Come on, Medela. Don't be so harsh. He's just being nice.
MEDELA: He's just being clingy.
JOVITA: Maybe he's just being sincere.
MEDELA: Maybe he's just being obsessive.
JOVITA: Maybe you're just being paranoid.
MEDELA: Maybe you're just being naive.
JOVITA: Maybe we're just being silly.
MEDELA: Maybe we're just being honest.
(They look at each other and burst out laughing.)
JOVITA: Oh, Medela. You're hilarious.
MEDELA: Oh, Jovita. You're so funny.
they laughed and gisted for a little while then they headed back home.
BACK Home
MEDELA is sitting on her couch, holding her phone to her ear. She is smiling and nodding as she listens to DAVE, the new guy she met at the coffee shop. They are having a friendly conversation, getting to know each other better.
MEDELA: So, you work as a bartender? That must be fun.
DAVE: (voice-over) Yeah, it's not bad. I get to meet a lot of interesting people. And sometimes I get to mix my own drinks.
MEDELA: Oh, really? What's your specialty?
DAVE: (voice-over) Well, I make a mean mojito. And I have a secret recipe for a margarita that will knock your socks off.
MEDELA: (laughs) Sounds tempting. Maybe I'll have to try it sometime.
DAVE: (voice-over) Maybe you will. So, what about you? What do you do?
MEDELA: I'm a college student. I'm studying psychology.
DAVE: (voice-over) Psychology? That's cool. What made you choose that?
MEDELA: Well, I've always been fascinated by human behavior. Why people do what they do, how they think, how they feel. I want to understand myself and others better.
DAVE: (voice-over) I can relate to that. I'm always curious about people too. That's why I like bartending. I get to observe and interact with different kinds of people.
MEDELA: Yeah, I guess we have that in common.
DAVE: (voice-over) We do. And I'm glad we met. You seem like a really nice person.
MEDELA: Thank you. You seem nice too.
DAVE: (voice-over) Thanks. Hey, can I ask you something?
MEDELA: Sure, go ahead.
DAVE: (voice-over) Would you like to go out with me sometime?
MEDELA: (surprised) Really? You want to go out with me?
DAVE: (voice-over) Yeah, I do. I mean, if you want to. I don't want to pressure you or anything.
MEDELA: No, no, it's not that. I'm just... surprised. In a good way.
DAVE: (voice-over) So, is that a yes?
MEDELA: (smiles) Yeah, that's a yes.
DAVE: (voice-over) Great. I'm really happy to hear that.
MEDELA: Me too.
DAVE: (voice-over) So, when are you free?
MEDELA: Well, I have a class tomorrow morning, but I'm free after that.
DAVE: (voice-over) Perfect. How about I pick you up at noon?
MEDELA: Sounds good to me.
DAVE: (voice-over) Awesome. I can't wait to see you.
MEDELA: Me neither.
DAVE: (voice-over) Okay, then. I'll talk to you later.
MEDELA: Okay. Bye, Dave.
DAVE: (voice-over) Bye, Medela.
They hang up. MEDELA puts down her phone and sighs happily. She picks up another phone and dials her best friend JOVITA.
MEDELA: Hey, Jovi. You won't believe what just happened.
JOVITA: (voice-over) What? What happened?
MEDELA: Remember the guy I met at the coffee shop?
JOVITA: (voice-over) Yeah, the cute one. What about him?
MEDELA: He just asked me out.
JOVITA: (voice-over) No way. Seriously?
MEDELA: Yes, seriously. He called me and we had a nice chat. And then he asked me if I wanted to go out with him.
JOVITA: (voice-over) And what did you say?
MEDELA: I said yes, of course.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Oh, my God. I'm so happy for you.
MEDELA: Thank you. I'm so excited.
JOVITA: (voice-over) I bet you are. So, when are you going out?
MEDELA: Tomorrow. He's picking me up at noon.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Wow, that's soon. Where are you going?
MEDELA: I don't know. He didn't say. He said it was a surprise.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Ooh, mysterious. I like it.
MEDELA: Me too. I wonder what he has planned.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it will be amazing. He sounds like a great guy.
MEDELA: He is. He's smart, funny, sweet, and handsome.
JOVITA: (voice-over) He sounds perfect.
MEDELA: He does. I can't believe he likes me.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Why wouldn't he? You're awesome.
MEDELA: Aw, thanks. You're the best.
JOVITA: (voice-over) No, you are. And I'm so happy for you. You deserve this.
MEDELA: Thank you. You're such a good friend.
JOVITA: (voice-over) Anytime. So, tell me more. What did you talk about?
MEDELA: Well, we talked about...
She continues to talk to JOVITA, gushing about DAVE. She is clearly smitten with him.
FADE Out
SCHOOL CAFETERIA - MORNING.
JOVITA and MEDELA, two teenage girls, are sitting at a table with their lunch trays. They are chatting excitedly.
JOVITA: So, how are you feeling? Are you nervous about your date with Dave?
MEDELA: A little bit. I mean, he's so nice and funny, and he asked me out so sweetly. But I don't know what to wear, what to say, what to do...
JOVITA: Don't worry, girl. I got you. I'll come over to your place after school and help you with your makeover. We'll make you look fabulous.
MEDELA: Thanks, Jovita. You're the best.
JOVITA: No problem. But you know, you don't have to change yourself for him. He likes you for who you are.
MEDELA: I know, I know. But I want to impress him, you know? Make him feel special.
JOVITA: I get it. But remember, you're special too. And you deserve to be treated well.
MEDELA: You're right. I do.
JOVITA: So, tell me more about him.
MEDELA: Well, you were there. We met him at the coffee shop yesterday. He walked towards our direction,He looked so cute and smart.
JOVITA: Oh, yeah. I remember. He had those cute piercing and a lather jacket, an u called him tug ish........
MEDELA: Yeah, exactly. And then he noticed us and waved us over. He introduced himself as Dave and said he was new in town. He asked us what we were doing and we told him we were students at this school.
JOVITA: And then he asked you for your number.
MEDELA: Yeah, he did. He said he wanted to hang out with us sometime. And then he called me last night and asked me out for a date
JOVITA: Wow, he's fast.
MEDELA: I know, right? But he was so sweet and polite. He said he wanted to get to know me better and that he had a surprise for me.
JOVITA: A surprise? What kind of surprise?
MEDELA: I don't know. He wouldn't tell me. He said it was a secret.
JOVITA: Ooh, mysterious. I like it.
MEDELA: I know he is perfect right?
jovita: So, what are you doing at home?
Medela: Well, I was hoping you could come over and help me with my makeover.
jovita: sure, I'd love to.
medela: Great. let's go then.
jovita: alright, sure let's go.
they walk away, arm in arm.
MEDELA'S KITCHEN - AFTERNOON.
MEDELA and JOVITA are in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and boiling pasta. They are wearing aprons and listening to music.
MEDELA: So, what do you think I should wear for the date?
JOVITA: Well, you have a lot of options. You could go for a casual look, like jeans and a cute top. Or you could go for a more dressy look, like a skirt and a blouse. Or you could go for something in between, like a dress and a jacket.
MEDELA: Hmm, I don't know. What do you think would suit me best?
JOVITA: I think you would look good in anything, girl. But maybe you should go for something that matches your personality. You're fun, bubbly, and sweet. So maybe something colorful and cheerful.
MEDELA: Like what?
JOVITA: Like... (she looks around the kitchen and sees a yellow lemon) Like this!
She holds up the lemon and smiles.
MEDELA: A lemon?
JOVITA: No, silly. The color. Yellow. It's bright and sunny, just like you.
MEDELA: Oh, I see. Yeah, maybe you're right. I do like yellow.
JOVITA: Great. Then we'll find you a yellow outfit. Maybe a yellow dress, or a yellow top and skirt. Something that will make you shine.
MEDELA: Okay, sounds good.
JOVITA: And what about your hair? How do you want to style it?
MEDELA: Well, I usually just let it down, or tie it in a ponytail. But maybe I should do something different. Something more romantic.
JOVITA: Like what?
MEDELA: Like... (she looks around the kitchen and sees a red tomato) Like this!
She holds up the tomato and smiles.
JOVITA: A tomato?
MEDELA: No, silly. The shape. Round. It's cute and flirty, just like me.
JOVITA: Oh, I see. Yeah, maybe you're right. You are cute and flirty.
MEDELA: Thanks. So maybe I should curl my hair, or make it wavy. Something that will make me look more feminine.
JOVITA: Okay, sounds good.
They continue to chat and cook, laughing and having fun. Suddenly, MEDELA's phone rings. She looks at the caller ID and sees that it's her dad.
MEDELA: Oh, it's my dad. I wonder what he wants.
JOVITA: Maybe he wants to check on you.
MEDELA: Maybe. But I don't want to talk to him.
JOVITA: Why not?
MEDELA: Because he's the worst. I hate him so much.
JOVITA: Oh, Medela. I'm so sorry.
MEDELA: Don't be. It's not your fault. It's his. He's selfish. He only cares about his career, not me.
JOVITA: That's not true. He loves you. He's doing this for you.
MEDELA: How is this for me.
JOVITA: I don't want you to leave me either. But maybe you should give him a chance. Maybe you should talk to him.
MEDELA: No, I don't want to talk to him. He doesn't listen to me. He doesn't care about what I want.
JOVITA: He does care. He's your dad. He wants the best for you.
they both talked for a while, had their lunch and when they found out time wasn't on their side they hurriedly went to get dressed
MEDELA'S LIVING ROOM - EVENING
MEDELA is sitting on the couch, looking at her phone. She is wearing the yellow lace dress and her hair is curled. She looks beautiful, but also anxious. She checks the time and sees that it's 6:30.
MEDELA: Where is he? He's half an hour late.
JOVITA is sitting next to her, holding her hand. She is wearing a blue top and jeans. She looks calm, but also concerned.
JOVITA: Don't worry, Medela. Maybe he's stuck in traffic. Maybe his car broke down. Maybe he had an emergency.
MEDELA: Maybe. Or maybe he changed his mind. Maybe he doesn't like me. Maybe he doesn't want to go out with me.
JOVITA: No, Medela. Don't say that. He likes you. He wants to go out with you. He's just running late.
MEDELA: How do you know?
JOVITA: Because he told you so. Because he brought you flowers and chocolates. Because he has a surprise for you.
MEDELA: Yeah, but what if the surprise is bad? What if he's going to break up with me? What if he's going to dump me?
JOVITA: No, Medela. Don't think that. He's not going to break up with you. He's not going to dump you. He's going to make you happy.
MEDELA: How do you know?
JOVITA: Because I know him. Because he's a good guy. Because he's nice and funny and kind.
MEDELA: Yeah, but what if he's not? What if he's lying? What if he's cheating? What if he's playing me?
JOVITA: No, Medela. Don't doubt him. He's not lying. He's not cheating. He's not playing you. He's being honest.
MEDELA: How do you know?
JOVITA: Because I trust him. Because you trust him. Because he trusts you.
MEDELA: Yeah, but what if he doesn't? What if he doesn't trust me? What if he doesn't love me?
JOVITA: No, Medela. Don't question him. He does trust you. He does love you.
MEDELA: How do you know?
JOVITA: Because he said so. Because he showed you. Because he's here.
She points to the door. MEDELA looks and sees DAVE standing at the door. He's holding a teddy bear and a balloon. He smiles when he sees her.
DAVE: Hey, Medela. Sorry I'm late.
MEDELA: (surprised) Dave. You're here.
DAVE: Yeah, I'm here. I'm sorry I kept you waiting. I had some trouble on the way.
MEDELA: What kind of trouble?
DAVE: Well, first, I got stuck in traffic. Then, my car broke down. Then, I had to take a bus. Then, the bus got a flat tire. Then, I had to walk. Then, I got lost. Then, I found your house.
MEDELA: Wow, that's a lot of trouble.
DAVE: Yeah, it was. But it was worth it. Because I'm here with you.
MEDELA: (touched) You are.
DAVE: I am. And I'm sorry I'm late. But I have something for you.
He hands her the teddy bear and the balloon.
DAVE: These are for you.
MEDELA: (happy) Thank you. They're adorable.
DAVE: Just like you.
They look into each other's eyes and smile. JOVITA watches them and smiles, too.
DAVE: So, are you ready to go?
MEDELA: Yeah I am
DAVE: So, are you ready to go?
MEDELA: Yeah, I'm ready.
DAVE: Great. Let's go then.
MEDELA: Okay, let's go.
She gets up and grabs her purse. She turns to JOVITA and hugs her.
MEDELA: Thank you, Jovita. Thank you for everything.
JOVITA: No problem, Medela. No problem.
MEDELA: I'll see you later, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, see you later.
MEDELA: And don't worry about me, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, I won't.
MEDELA: And call me if you need anything, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, I will.
MEDELA: And have fun, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, I will.
MEDELA: And be careful, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, I will.
MEDELA: And I love you, okay?
JOVITA: Okay, I love you, too.
They hug again and smile.
MEDELA: (to Dave) Okay, I'm ready.
DAVE: Okay, let's go.
He takes her hand and leads her to the door.
DAVE: (to Jovita) Bye, Jovita. Nice to meet you.
JOVITA: Bye, Dave. Nice to meet you, too.
They walk out of the door and close it. JOVITA waves at them and sighs.
JOVITA: (to herself) They're so cute. I hope they have a good time together.
Medela and Dave were in his car, driving to the cinema for their first date. They felt a strong connection.
They chatted about their hobbies, their jobs, their families, and their dreams. They laughed at each other's jokes, and they complimented each other's looks. They felt a spark between them, and they couldn't take their eyes off each other.
They arrived at the cinema, and Dave parked the car. He turned to Medela, and said, "You look amazing, Medela. I'm so happy to be here with you."
Medela smiled, and said, "You look great too, Dave. I'm so excited to see the movie with you."
They leaned in, and kissed softly. They felt a surge of emotion, and they deepened the kiss. They wrapped their arms around each other, and forgot about everything else.
They broke the kiss, and looked into each other's eyes. They smiled, and said, "I like you" at the same time. They laughed, and kissed again.
They got out of the car, and walked to the cinema. They held hands, and felt the warmth of each other's touch. They reached the ticket booth, and showed their tickets. The attendant scanned them, and said, "Enjoy the movie, you two. You make a lovely couple."
Medela and Dave thanked him, and walked to the theater. They found their seats, and sat down. They shared some popcorn, and some more kisses. They watched the movie, and enjoyed each other's company. They felt happy, and they knew that this was the start of something special.
Medela and Dave walked hand in hand along the busy street, feeling the buzz of the city at night. They had just enjoyed a beautiful moment at the cinema and they were not ready to say goodbye yet.
"Hey, do you want to come over to my place?" Dave asked, looking into her eyes. "It's not far from here, and I have some wine and Netflix."
Medela smiled, feeling a surge of excitement and nervousness. She liked Dave a lot, and she wanted to spend more time with him. But she also knew what his invitation implied, and she wondered if she was ready for that.
She checked her phone and saw that it was already past 11 pm. She knew that Jovita, would be worried if she didn't come home soon. She decided to call her and let her know.
"Hey, Jovita, it's me. Listen, I'm sorry to do this, but I'm not coming home tonight. I'm with Dave, and we're going to his apartment. Don't worry, I'm fine. I'll text you later, okay?"
Jovita's voice sounded surprised and curious on the other end of the line. "Wow, Medela, you're spending the night with Dave? That's a big step. Are you sure you want to do this?"
Medela hesitated for a moment, then said, "Yes, I'm sure. I really like him, Jovita. He's sweet and funny and smart. And he makes me feel good. I want to be with him."
Jovita sighed, then said, "Okay, okay, I get it. You're in love. Well, I'm happy for you, Medela. Just be careful, okay? And use protection. And call me tomorrow. I want to hear all the details."
Medela laughed, then said, "Thanks, Jovita. You're the best. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye."
She hung up the phone and turned to Dave, who was waiting patiently for her. He smiled and kissed her softly, then said, "Shall we go?"
Medela nodded, then wrapped her arm around his waist. They walked together to his car, and drove to his apartment downtown. Medela felt a mix of emotions as they approached his building. She was happy, but also nervous. She wondered what would happen next, and how it would change their relationship. She hoped that it would be a night to remember.
Medela and Dave entered his apartment, and he locked the door behind them. He led her to his living room, and turned on the lights. He had a cozy sofa, a large TV, and a bookshelf full of books and DVDs.
MEDELA and DAVE are sitting on a couch in his apartment.
DAVE: So, did you enjoy the movie
MEDELA: Oh, yes. It was interesting. And so scary
DAVE: I'm glad you liked it. I wanted to impress you.
MEDELA: You did. You're very sweet.
DAVE: Thank you. You're very beautiful.
MEDELA: (blushing) Stop it.
DAVE: No, really. You have the most amazing eyes.
MEDELA: (looking away) You're making me shy.
DAVE: (moving closer) Don't be. I like you, Medela. A lot.
MEDELA: (looking back) I like you too, Dave.
DAVE: Can I kiss you?
MEDELA: (nodding) Yes.
DAVE: (leaning in) Good.
They kiss passionately.
DAVE: (breaking the kiss) Wow.
MEDELA: Wow indeed.
DAVE: Do you want a drink?
MEDELA: Sure. What do you have?
DAVE: I have some wine, beer, soda, water...
MEDELA: Wine sounds good.
DAVE: Okay. Red or white?
MEDELA: Red, please.
DAVE: Coming right up.
He gets up and goes to the kitchen.
MEDELA: (to herself) This is going well.
She smiles and looks around the apartment.
After they finished talking, they decided to have some more fun. They grabbed some pillows and bedsheets and started a playful fight. They threw pillows at each other, rolled around the bed, and laughed. They were both drunk and happy.
MEDELA: (giggling) Stop it, stop it!
DAVE: (tickling her) No, you stop it!
MEDELA: (squealing) Okay, okay, I surrender!
DAVE: (stopping) Do you?
MEDELA: (nodding) Yes, I do.
DAVE: (kissing her) Good.
They kiss again, softly.
MEDELA: (snuggling up to him) You're so warm.
DAVE: (wrapping his arms around her) You're so soft.
MEDELA: (closing her eyes) You're so sweet.
DAVE: (closing his eyes) You're so amazing.
They fall asleep in each other's arms, smiling.
FADE OUT.
Medela woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She groaned and reached for it, only to realize that it was not hers. She looked around and saw that she was lying on a couch with a blanket over her. She felt a warm arm around her waist and turned to see dave sleeping peacefully next to her.
She remembered how they had played and had fun the night before, and how he had charmed her with his witty jokes and sweet compliments. He had asked her to come to his place for a drink, and she had agreed, feeling a strong attraction to him. They had talked for hours, sharing their stories and dreams, and he had confessed that he had fallen in love with her at first sight. She had felt the same way, and they had kissed passionately. He had opened a bottle of wine and poured them two glasses, and they had toasted to their new relationship. They had cuddled on the couch, watching a movie, and had fallen asleep in each other's arms.
She smiled, feeling a surge of happiness. She looked at his face, admiring his handsome features. He stirred and opened his eyes, meeting her gaze. He smiled back and kissed her softly.
"Good morning, beautiful," he said.
"Good morning, handsome," she said.
"How did you sleep?" he asked.
"Like a baby," she said.
"Me too," he said. "You know, I still can't believe that we met yesterday. It feels like I've known you forever."
"I know, right?" she said. "It's crazy how fast things can happen."
"But it's a good kind of crazy," he said. "I've never felt this way before. You're amazing, Medela. You're smart, funny, kind, and gorgeous. You're everything I ever wanted."
"You're amazing too, Dave. You're charming, witty, generous, and handsome. You're everything I ever dreamed of."
They kissed again, feeling a deep connection. They hugged each other, feeling a warm comfort. They looked into each other's eyes, feeling a true love.
she had prepared to go back home that morning because she was going late for lectures, but she didn't want to leave dave.
so he drove her....-
Medela stared out of the window, feeling a knot in her stomach. She hated going to college. She hated the boring lectures, the snooty professors, the fake friends. She never wanted to leave.
She wished she could skip today's session and stay with Dave at his place. They had spent the night together, drinking, having fun, pillow fighting They had cuddled and kissed, and she had felt safe and loved in his arms. She didn't want to leave him , she enjoyed his company alot and wished that the day would never end.( he drove off and dropped her.)
