Brunch

*Kiera* As we pull up to the restaurant, the sun glints off the elegant facade, making it look even more inviting. I can feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach, a mix of excitement and anxiety. I glance at Will, who is adjusting his tie in the rearview mirror, and I can’t help but smile. He looks stunning, and despite the weight of the conversations we’re about to have, I feel a flicker of happiness. Today is important; I need to come clean to my family. My mom rises from her seat, arms open wide, and I rush forward to embrace her, inhaling the familiar scent of her floral perfume.
