“Your mother is dead.” My world shattered as I heard Doctor Ruiz say those words. I felt my knees getting weak, my heart feeling heavy, and my mind was just empty. Suddenly I fell into Rafi’s arms. I was crying.
“Vea.” Rafi said as he caught me. I was bawling my eyes out.
When I looked at dad, he was just looking into empty space. He was trembling. A tear fell out of his eye, then the tears did not stop. He was sobbing.
“You are kidding right? Don’t do this to us. This is not the time for joking.” Dad was already in denial.
“I am really sorry, sir. We did everything we could to save her. It just happened that cannot handle the sudden changes in her body.” The doctor replied.
“No!” Father shouted in frustration. He was crying really hard. This was the first time I heard and
