As we arrived at my house, a bunch of people were there to visit my mother’s wake. There were farmers, ranch owners, merchants, and all sorts of people there for the last day of my mom’s wake. I didn’t expect that there’s so many townsfolk that knew my mother– she was loved by everyone.
I hopped off Magnus' vehicle, and went to find my father. I went directly to where the wake was held, but he was not there. Only my aunts and uncles, and other visitors were there. I tried calling his phone but he did not answer it, so I decided to find him in our house.
“Dad?” I called out his name. I looked at the dining area, but he wasn’t there. So, I went upstairs to their room.
I knocked at their door, “Dad? Are you in there?”
