Chapter 2: The World Inside My Mind
My name is Preeti, and there is a side of me that very few people know.
To the world, I am just a simple girl from Patna, India.
But inside my mind exists a completely different universe.
I am an INFJ—someone who feels things deeply, thinks differently, and often gets lost in thoughts that others may not understand. I have always felt that there is something unusual about the way I see the world.
I live in India, but my heart has always been attracted to different cultures and places. I dream of visiting South Korea and China someday. I don't know exactly why, but there is something about those places that fascinates me—their traditions, their stories, their beauty, and the emotions shown in their dramas.
I love watching Korean dramas.
Whenever I watch them, I feel like I enter another world. The characters, their emotions, their struggles, and their journeys stay with me long after the episode ends.
Maybe that's why I have always loved different things.
I don't like living a completely ordinary life.
My imagination has always been my escape.
Sometimes I wonder if this world is like a simulation, where every person is playing their own role in a huge story. I sometimes feel like I am also a character in this universe, experiencing my own journey, learning lessons, and waiting for the next chapter of my life to begin.
It may sound strange to others, but this is how my mind works.
I have always believed that there is more to life than what we see.
My days, however, are still very simple.
Every morning at 7:30, I wake up.
The first thing I do is prepare the tiffin for my brother because he has to leave for work. I make sure everything is ready before his day begins.
By 9:00, my brother leaves for work.
After that, I start preparing food for the family. Cooking has become such a regular part of my life that I don't even think about it anymore.
By around 10:00, the food is ready.
Only after finishing these responsibilities do I go to brush my teeth and get ready.
In 2026, my elder sister Anjali is staying at home for some time. Because of that, she helps with the morning cleaning. She does the sweeping and mopping of the house until around 12:00 in the afternoon.
Watching her help reminds me that even though life is not always easy, small moments of support still matter.
My life may look simple from the outside.
But inside my heart, there are countless dreams, stories, and questions waiting for answers.
I am Preeti.
A girl living in a small city...
with a mind full of worlds that no one else can see.
