Chapter Fifteen The feel of the air changed as I climbed the stairs to the Marsh Dome. The scent of salt and tinge of moisture even more present than in the Salt Dome. The ache in my leg sharpened to genuine pain as I crossed the bridges reaching over the canals that divided the land into islands. School had finally let out for the day, so the guards prowling around didn’t stop me as I walked to the single-room housing unit that was almost identical to mine. Tall grass surrounded the brown building instead of the flowerbeds of Bloom Dome. Grass had been planted on the roof as well, almost like the kep were trying to hide the building.
