We made our escape from the Zeg without incident. Thankfully they were more focused on the Callites entering from the other side of the system.
“I may have done something dumb,” Nix said to Haze one evening. They sat together on the bridge watching the stars shoot past while we travelled at warp.
“Have you been saving your stupidity up for the right moment? What did you do to her? I have been around her long enough to know when something is not right.” Haze hissed unimpressed. Nix winced.
“She asked if humans and Therros can breed. I did not realise how prejudice I was towards the human species before she said it.”
“And now?”
“Now, I just want her to forgive me. She is not angry with me Haze, she is hurt. Strangely, it’s ripping me up.” He groaned rubbing one hand over his face.
“Rumour has it, that it didn’t stop her from mating with you the other day. The two cubs who charged into your quarters were quick to tattle about interrupting the Captain and his pet going at it. I believe their words were.”
“Kruk injured me. Luca was trying to cover for me. I woke to a naked beautiful Luca in my bed and reacted accordingly. She only wanted to make them think I was in bed for reasons other than the real one. Making our situation worse, I made a mess Haze.” He admitted sourly.
“Nix-.” Haze’s gaze grew worried.
“I’m fine. I slept a few hours before the interruption. Enough time to heal a least.” He admitted climbing to his feet.
“Luca was offered the alliance of all females. Cleo made the offer the other day.” Nix said.
“Yes, I know. She told me what she was doing. This morning I recanted the shunning against Luca.”
“Good. She needs you. Luca acts tough Haze and I know she can hold her own, but she’s so sad. I don’t know how to make things better.” Kane said staring out the viewscreen.
“Well, you could start by not being an idiot.” Haze stated.
“Easier said than done. Luciana Hex can short circuit my brain.” Nix muttered making a noise in the back of his throat. Haze hid her smile behind one striped claw. She sat quietly with her friend and captain. He stayed silently on the bridge for several hours searching his mind for the answers he needed before retiring to his quarters.
I sat on the sill in Nix’s bedroom, it was the only place I found I could think without interruption. I would go back to my quarters and have someone lean on the bell until I finally answered. I had been coming here every night while Nix was on duty. I had been on the ship for a month. I was lonely and depressed. I missed Earth, but mostly I just wanted Nix and could not find a way to bridge the gap. The memory of his mouth on me, rose to haunt me when I least wanted it to.
“Hungry?” Nix asked scaring the collective wits out of me. I squealed and lost my balance. I fell off the sill landing hard on the floor.
“Gods damn it.” I groaned grabbing my leg as pain launched through it. Nix scooped me up and deposited me on the bed before I could even blink.
“Are you hurt?” He demanded ripping the leg of my suit open to check my thigh. I grabbed his claw as he lifted my knee. My gaze met his, a shiver rolled through me. I sat up and pressed Nix back into the mattress. I lifted his arms over his head. Lowering my face, I brushed my mouth over his as I straddled him. He growled into my mouth as I swivelled my hips, grinding my pelvis against his. He rolled me over using his vast amount of strength. I wrapped my legs around his waist, rocking into him. He cupped my face with his claws.
“Forgive me, Kitten. I was being an idiot.” He murmured against my jaw. I made a noise of approval in the back of my throat. He grinned looking down at me. He unzipped my suit with one hand and spanned my waist with the other.
“So beautiful and mine. You’re so smooth and soft. I’ve been dreaming about your body since the other day. When I had my mouth on you, tasting you. When you screamed my name. I almost came, kitten.” He growled sliding his claw up the valley between my breasts. I arched up against his hands. He kissed me softly.
“More. Damn it Nix I am not made of glass.” I muttered pulling him down harder on top of me. His eyes suddenly blazed, glowing in the dim light. He spanned my breasts with both claws, massaging gently as his mouth plundered mine like the pirate he was named. While Nix was busy kissing me, I opened the back of his suit, drawing the material over his shoulders, revealing the rippling muscles of his arms, shoulders and chest. I pushed the suit down low enough to grasp the head of his hard c**k. Nix growled, his head snapping back on his neck. I pushed on the huge male’s chest. He lay back, lifting his hips and legs as I drew his suit off completely. I shot him a small smile. Nix cupped the marked side of my face, the pad of one claw sliding over the healed wounds. I leaned forwards and drew his hard length into my mouth.
“Gods, yes kitten.” He growled sliding one claw down my spine. He cupped my backside, one digit sliding into my core, to be joined by another. I sucked his c**k hard into the back of my throat. Nix arched into me, pumping his fingers in and out, coating me with my juices.
“Enough, kitten. I want you now.” He snarled pulling me away from his thick length. I sat up riding his claw, little mewling sounds coming from my throat. Nix gripped my waist. He rolled me over, draping one of my legs over his arm, he thrust forwards, embedding his c**k deep inside me. We both cried out. Me with the tinge of pain and Nix in surprised ecstasy.
“An innocent. Damn it, kitten. Why didn’t you tell me? The way I have acted to you. The things I did. I would have been careful, gentle. How badly are you hurt, Kitten? Tell me.” He murmured kissing my eyelids, my cheeks and then my mouth. He stayed so still, refusing to move inside me.
“I’m not hurt. I may have been a virgin Nix, but I had this little machine thing at home. It simulated a tongue lapping at my c**t and I’ve watched movies of people having s*x. A virgin yes, innocent, no.” I admitted a little embarrassed. Nix leaned back slightly, peering down into my eyes.
“You did?” He murmured, sliding out of me slowly. I gasped as he thrust back inside me, a strong movement.
“Yes.” I groaned.
“Did your little machine feel like I did, when I sucked your little bundle into my mouth. When my tongue slid into your core, like my c**k?” Nix growled. His thrusts were harder now, almost hammering into me.
“Oh gods, Nix, Nix.” I cried out, feeling the orgasm building inside me. The male above me went wild, his hips swinging like they were on a hinge. I suddenly screamed his name, arching my back. My entire body ridged and shaking. Nix growled into my throat as he came. I closed my eyes, my heart hammering in my chest. The huge male rolled us over, cradling me in his arms, against his chest.
“Why now?” He asked several hours later as we lay together tangled in his sheets. I shrugged tracing patterns in the jet-black fur on his stomach.
“I don’t know. I suppose I am resigning myself to never going home.”
“It has nothing to do with me being irresistible?” He asked a teasing tone to his voice. I chuckled.
“Well, that may have been some of it. You drive me crazy, all the time. I can’t even be in the same room as you. Therros have such an acute sense of smell, I live in perpetual fear. I kept replaying the other day, what we did in this bed. Why do you think I took to working with the fuel regulators for the last week? It was the only way I could hide the smell of my need for you.” I said sitting up. I pulled my loose hair out from under me. Nix ran a claw through it.
“Your hair is glorious.” He said. I grinned over my shoulder. He traced the Ultraviolet tattoo on my back. He loved the feel of it against the pads of his claws.
“Did it hurt?”
“Yes, it was excruciating and took a full three hundred and sixty-five days to fully heal.”
“An Earth Cycle, incredible. Why did you do it? Is it a clan mark?” I shook my head, turning over I slid my body along his. I loved the feel of his short soft fur against my skin. The purr I loved vibrated through his chest.
“I had the tattoo artist draw it and then put it on me. I loved the idea of having my own set of wings.”
“You wanted wings?” Nix murmured stroking his hand down the raised feathered design from my shoulders to where the wing tips finished on the backs of my thighs.
“Well I didn’t have a tail, so yeah wings it was,” I replied mischievously. I felt his soft laugh vibrate through him.
“You love my tail?”
“Yes, I don’t have one. You having a tail is kind of a novelty for me.” I traced the side of one of his eyes.
“Why do they glow?” I asked curiously. Nix shifted slightly so he could see me properly.
“If we feel something intensely our eyes reflect it. Sometimes it is the light too. The lens in our eyes catch it at an angle and they illuminate. Mostly it is caused by anger, happiness or lust. My eyes can change two different colours, amber and blue. I’m not sure why. It’s rare though, my mother’s eyes did it too.” He said with a little growl against my throat. I laughed.
“Does your crew know you have a sense of humour?” I asked. Nix pushed my hair back over my shoulder. He tucked it behind my ear with the pad of one claw.
“A couple of them. Mostly they avoid me. I had to do some horrific things to free most of them. The memories seem to have stuck fast, unfortunately. Until a month ago, I had no problem with my reputation on the ship or off it. It served me and my crew well. I’ll not forget the look on your face in the loading dock on Cossa for a very long time though. It made me regret some of my choices.”
“What do you mean?” I sat up again and turned on the lamp beside the bed. Nix hissed, closing his eyes and baring sharp pointed teeth. Nix sat up scowling at me.
“Some warning next time. The aforementioned eyes are light sensitive.” He growled.
“No. What do you mean? What look on my face?” I demanded. Nix ran a hand through his hair and propped himself up against the headboard.
“You were with Hart, loading the new core. Nelgra Hibb approached, talking to the old man. He asked if you were his pet and Hart said no. You belonged to me. Haze called me back to our conversation and I missed what Nelgra said to you. But the expression on your face was so agonised and disgusted for a split second before you covered it up with indifference.” Realisation rolled through me.
“I remember him; he was the short chubby guy with the yellow tentacles on his shoulders. He was bartering with Hart, trying to get him to sell me. When Hart told, him I belonged to you. Hibb laughed and told Hart he was best to kill me when you were finished with me. There wouldn’t be much left to sell-off. You are an animal and would rip me apart. I have also concluded that I am prejudice against anything or anyone with tentacles.” I replied.
“Tentacles?” He asked. I nodded.
“Yes, Hibb also said you would not keep only me. I was merely a distraction until you could take a Therros female for yourself.” I said.
“Cause, we don’t already have problems, let's add those thoughts too,” Nix muttered with a soft curse.
“Well are you, going to rip me apart Nix?” I whispered grinning and leaning into his chest. Picking up on my playful mood, he chuckled shaking off the negative feelings plaguing him. He smoothed his claw over my hip.
“I think you are part demon, sent to lead me astray.” He breathed leaning forwards to kiss me.
“Probably. Where would you like me to lead you first?” I replied. Nix flipped me back down onto the bed, stretching my arms out over my head.
“I thought we could start here.” He growled. I looked up at him. He truly was beautiful. I thought. Nix’s tail pressed the button to turn off the lamp.
“That’s a pretty fancy trick you have there.” I laughed as Nix’s claws traced my body.
“You like that. How about you tell me what you think of this?” He growled sliding down my body. I cried out as his tongue slid between my thighs.
