Whatever it was exactly, it was definitely something new to the spider. It was so foreign and it toyed with the arachnid's emotions in ways it never experienced, becoming something it couldn't decide on whether to enjoy or hate. The blue flame arching in from the sky, however, was not so foreign and did not require any deliberation on a course of action. The body of the spider exploded into black smoke that retreated back into the depths of the cave. There, more dark wisps emerged from the shadows and walls, twisting about one another, reshaping and contorting until they had taken a recognizable form.
