The thread of light focused on a strange mark on the limestone wall. The young man approached and lit his own flashlight, illuminating a notch. He could see it was a kind of head profile carved in the relatively soft rock, showing typical Incan features, with a steep curve in his nose and a skull that looked somewhat deformed. “This notch is artificial”  said Marcelo with a hint of surprise in his voice “ there are even traces of color” he shook his head as in an attempt to clarify their ideas. “The ancient ones “ murmured respectfully Huacman. “Do you not think that these marks are recent?” Marcelo's question was rhetoric, since he in turn had come to that same conclusion. Despite not being an expert in archaeological exhumations, the implications of the statement became obvious.   H
