Minnie looked at Sandy and smiled. She looked happy, but tired.
Sandy turned to Sal, who was still concerned about his friend, Micky.
“I am taking Minnie next door so she can rest for a while. If there is any change with Bobby, let us know,” said Sandy.
“Okay,” agreed Sal with a brief smile before he started for the kitchen to check on Micky.
Sandy took Minnie’s hand and started for the door.
Minnie pulled him to a stop. He looked at her in surprise.
“Let me check on Bobby before we go,” said Minnie.
Sandy nodded in understanding and released her hand so she could go into Bobby’s room. He stood waiting by the door for her return.
Andrew looked at him and shook his head with a grin. Sandy didn’t see the grin; all of his concentration was on Minnie.
