"Why does mum have strange scars on her back"

I then went back home entered the house and it was so quiet."why is here so quiet?"l thought to myself.
But then l had shower waters then l knew mum was back but taking a shower then suddenly the waters stopped that's when l decided to scare her a bit.l opened her room and the l was like boom.immmedialety she saw me she covered the scars on her back but little did she know l had seen them .Now finally it's clear to me why she doesn't wear back show clothes and also tells me to never to wear them but then l have no scars on my back like she does.l had to answer her.
"you scared me"she said.
" Am so sorry but mum why are there scars on your back and how come l dont know about them ?"l replied
"dear it's nothing never mind they dont even hurt"
"The hurt doesn't matter what matters here is how come l dont know about them?is there anything you are keeping from me?".
Her facial expressions told me that obviously there is but then she said" no darling why would l keep anything from you".
"let's go have supper out tonight and forget about all these" she added.
l let go of it quickly l wanted to give her privacy and freedom because If it was really important she would have told me for sure.
"My dear l wish you knew your real background" she thought to herself.
"Mum come one let's go but first let me get changed."
we then went for lunch and later came back home.
