The first dream came to her slowly, creeping like a shadow in a moonlight, it was a retrospection of first two years of her life. Josephine heard her father's soft voice singing her lullabies, her mother brushing her hair, grandparents; which she didn't know she had, crying when her first world was ''dogie''.
The tears started going down her face, quietly, like a droplets of rain. Josephine was happy for the first time in her life. Then, the dream ended so did her's happiness. She woke up sad and lonely, missing her home that was so far away in her memory.
Looking at the clock on her bedside table, it read 11 pm. Josephine grabbed her father's diary, opened it with a key and started reading.
15th January 1995
''Today was freezing cold, the white puff covered the entire of school yard. We had a snowball fight which, headmaster called 'sport for kids', let's say he wasn't happy when Kris throw snowball at him...''
Josephine smiled to herself. She read the next passage.
16th January 1995
'I went to a cafe down town and saw the most magnificent woman ever. She had long red hair, big brown eyes and a kind smile. She was reading a book however, before I could talk to her she left. It was not a lucky day for me. I think she might be my ffrind enaid.'
'What's that?' Josephine thought and opened her laptop. Google was always helpful and within few second she found out that those two words mean ''Soulmate'' in Welsh.
''What is so important about a soulmate?'' she thought and continued to read her father's diary. The girl was ready to not sleep the whole night.

Hei was distressed, he had a bad feeling about this mission but, he couldn't fail. He won't give his father the satisfaction besides he wants to show him that's he's cable of challenge. It was eight o'clock, in the morning when he stood in front of a headmaster's office. The coat of arms hanged proudly on the doors. Hei knocked twice and a petite, Indian woman opened the doors.
''How can I help?'' she asked.
''Good morning my name is Lang Ling I'm here to see a headmaster.'' he send her, one of his charming smiles. She looked unimpressed at him.
''You are speaking to her right now, come on in.'' she said and let him in into the office.
He sat on one of the chairs in front of the desk and the woman took her place on the other side. The plate on the desk told him that her name was Diya Ahuja.
''I got all of yours documents yesterday. It was weird considering it was Sunday afternoon, but more surprised it was the fact that we have a new student in the last year. Also, which was shocking the most you will be here only for short amount of time, your father didn't explain much. Can i know why?'' she asked.
Hei smiled slowly ''Miss you see, recently the tragedy touched my family. My beloved grandmother passed away. I was close to her and her death took such a big troll on me that my father decided to send me to study far away so I could take some break. Who said it's for couple of months, I am planning of staying longer, if of course I won't feel any better.''
Diya looked at him like she didn't believe the bullshit he tried to sell her but then decided it was better to buy it than not.
''Alright, those are the keys to your room. There are few rules you need to follow, one and most important one, females dormitories are prohibited. Boys are not allowed there. The rest of the rules will be explained to you by a person I will personally choose to show you around. Have in mind that one slip and you are going to be expelled.''
''Yes ma'am.'' he said 'like if you will ever catch me breaking rules' he thought to himself.
The woman stood up from her sit and said ''well then, my assistant will show you to your room, today I would like you to get used to the place and tomorrow at 7:30 am, sharp I want to see you in front of my office and you will meet your guard then.'' she said and called someone on the phone. Few minutes later, an older man came in. He smiled at Hei and said ''Welcome to the academy, my name is Derek and I will show you to your room.''
The boy stood up and approached Derek. Both of them leaving office soon after.

Josephine was tired, exhausted and had no motivation to do anything. She just wanted to sleep all day, instead she had to sit thorough the boring, weekly assemble. Today they were talking about 'how to be safe during fire'. Josephine rolled her eyes. She shouldn't have read all weekend with small dosage of sleep. Since the first dream she didn't had any more ones about her missing memories. Yet. So far Josie read half of her father's diary and felt closer to him than ever before but, still what she learned wasn't enough for her to accept her destiny. Whatever this destiny was.
She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn't realize that other students from her year group were standing up. She slowly stood up herself and moved with a crowd onto the corridor.
''Did you heard the gossips. Apparently we will have a new student in our year.'' said one girl on her friend.
Josephine rolled her eyes again. 'Oh yeah another moron will join a bunch of other annoying ass morons. Splendid.' She thought.
When she made it into the corridor she was called by headmaster. Slowly approaching the lovely lady she smiled at the woman.
''Yes miss?''
''Good morning darling, I have a favor of you to ask. Tomorrow a new student will join your group, boy named Ling. I would like for you to show him around.''
''Of course I will.'' she said with fake enthusiasm.
''Wonderful, see you tomorrow in front of my office at half past seven. Please don't be late and go quickly to your classes now.''
Josephine smiled at the headmaster and quickly left. 'It's going to be a long day.'
The whole day passed like a blur for her. The first thing that came to her mind after she showered was sleep. Without doing her homework, she got comfortable however, the dream was not good. It was another memory, a sad memory.
Her five year old self saw her parents arguing but, Josephine couldn't figure out what they were saying. Suddenly the dream changed and she was in the dark forest, behind her house. Her small feet were bare. It was cold, suddenly the big white wolf appeared. His black like a night eyes starred into her's. Suddenly Josephine woke up.
She gasped for breath after, calming herself a little bit she looked at the clock that read 6 am. Josie rolled her eyes and decided it was better to start getting ready. She had to show new student around however, the black eyes wolf was still in her mind.
When Josephine approached the office it was already 25 past seven. The headmaster was already there, smiling softly. Then she saw a tall boy approach them. 'Must be new student' she though. When he's eyes locked with her's he was surprised. His eyes got wide, shocked filled them and one thought on his mind. 'Mate.' his wolf said. 'Soulmate.' her brain whispered. None of them noticed the smile on Diya's face. 'Real fun is about to begin.' she thought.
