Chapter 7

A middle aged woman sat in her chair next to a fireplace. A cup of tea in her hands, she starred at the fire. The conversation from before running through her mind. She really though Edward erased her sister's in law, memory. They were all wrong. Anastasia remembered much, not everything but enough to know her current husband was up to no good. The only question left is...how did she remembered everything?! Woman took a sip of her tea, ''Interesting.'' she said to herself. Still looking at the dancing flames.

''No way you didn't do it!'' said Josephine through laugh. Ling was making laugh like no one else before.

''Yes I did! Ask the poor janitor who had to clean all the mess up!'' said Hei also laughing with her. The story he was telling her was half truth. Hei couldn't afford her to know it happened fifty years ago, not two years ago.

''Okay now your turn what's the most funniest or embarrassing thing you've ever done?'' he asked her.

They were currently sitting on one of the park benches, cup's with soy latte in their hands.

''I don't remember much. I don't think I've ever done something embarrassing or funny.''

''No way everyone done something at least once.''

''Well I guess I am not everyone. Usually I was the one who people were making jokes about.'' she said her voice filled with sadness.

'Who made her upset?!' his wolf was angry and Hei could feel anger rise inside him.

''I'm sorry to hear it. You shouldn't be going through that.'' he said, inside him he wanted to find out who bullied his mate and make them pay. Hei tried to calm himself he can't turn here, in front of everyone.

''It's fine, don't worry I'm over that'' Josephine said but he could feel that she wasn't fully alright.

Suddenly his phone rang. He looked at the caller and he cursed in his mind. It was her step-father.

''Sorry I have to pick it up. Can you wait a minute?'' she nodded. He went to a little bit father from her and picked the call.

''Hello?''

''Hei hello how is your mission?'' Lucca asked.

''Is going fine. Josephine doesn't suspect anything.'' Lying wasn't new to him. It came easy for him.

''Good. Remember she can't reach full potential of her powers.'' then he disconnected. Hei took a deep breath. He was slowly loosing his mind.Composing himself he approached Josephine and reached his hand towards her.

''Shall we?'' she smiled and nodded. Josie took his hand and could feel the small electricity going through them. Her heart speed up, Hei smiled hearing her heart. She felt the effect of the bond. 'Good, she will be ours soon.' he's wolf said.

''Let's head back it's getting late.'' he said and slowly, in comfortable silence they went to the school.

''Wait I have a cousin?'' Drew asked over the phone surprised.

''Yes. She even goes to the same school as you. Her name is Josephine and as far as I'm concerned she is in the same year as you.''

Drew's face became pale. The ginger haired girl he used to bully at the beginning. She was his cousin.

''What did you do to her?'' his mother, Hannah asked. Knowing her son all too well.

''So umh about that I might have bullied her a little.'' he said embarrassed. His hands running through his blonde hair. A habit he had since being a kid.

''You what?!!! You are lucky I'm on other side of the Goddamn country! Just wait till you come home during Christmas break!'' Drew had to held his phone away from the ear.

''Mum I had no idea we were related.''

''Oh because that makes things better! One more time I'll hear about you being an asshole and I will tie your powers!''

''Okay okay I'm sorry''

''I'm not the one you should apologies. Now listen to me, you will go to Josephine and apologies. Then you will explain everything and then you will help her with her lessons, you will help her reach her full potential and you will do as every male member of this family does. You will protect her since she has the same blood as you.''

''Well not quiet, since you were married into dad's family.''

''Are you deft?!''

Drew didn't want to push his luck anymore. ''Okay okay I will do it.''

''Good. I'll see you during Christmas.''

''You won't call me before?''

''Nope if I do I might do or say staff I will regret since my son turned out to be a brat.''

Hannah said then disconnected the call. Drew looked at his phone with disbelief. Everything because he was just a kid.

He decided to approach Josephine tomorrow, before English lesson. The only class they shared.

Josephine never felt so happy. The day she spent with Ling made her heart warm. Studying and doing her homework never felt better.

During the dinner she caught Ling starring at her from the boys table. Surprisingly he wasn't the only one looking at her. Drew Jackson was also starring. Josephine wondered what he wanted. If he will try to bully her again she might cry. Her mental health wasn't stable enough to go through that again. 

She just hopped he wasn't looking at her but at his ex girlfriend, Jessica who was sitting in front of her. Suddenly her phone buzzed and she saw that it was a text massage from Ling. ''Enjoy your meal beautiful.'' she smiled and texted him back. ''Thank you and enjoy your meal too.'' She saw him taking his phone and smiling at the text. Then he looked at her and whispered ''Thank you.'' 

Josephine smiled back. Yes she was happy. Something she never knew she will be. Drew looked between her and Ling and then shook his head 'no'. He looked at her with face full of concern. Josephine rolled her eyes and went back to eating her dinner. 'What the hell he wants from me?' she thought to herself.

Drew was shocked. His own cousin and a werewolf?! The world is going to hell. He almost spitted his tea when he saw Josephine smiling at the dog. He felt disgust deep inside him. Drew needs to talk to her as soon as possible because this was unacceptable.

It was a nice morning. Everything looked normal. 

Josephine stood next to the window and was checking her essay just to make sure she didn't make any mistakes. Suddenly a tall shadow stood above her. She looked up and almost chocked on her saliva. Drew Jackson was standing in front of her. 

''Can I help you?'' Josephine asked. 

''In a matter of fact yes. I would like to apologies to you for how I acted in our first year here. I was childish and mean.''

He said, smiling at her.

''What?Why?'' she asked surprised. 

''Can we talk in more private setting?'' he asked hopefully. 

''No.''

''No?''

''You heard me. Now if you excuse me. I need to take get back to checking my essay.'' she had no idea where from the confidence came. However, she was proud of herself. Ignoring Drew, she took her staff and went inside classroom. 

Leaving shocked Drew behind. 'Damn is going to be hard.' he though to himself. He needs other plan.

Hei was praying to the moon goodness, for two hours straight. Yet she didn't answer. Just like she ignored him. When he was supposed to give up, the vision came. He saw bleeding woman, laying on a grass filed. She was in labor. Hei had no idea who she was. The woman's screams were making his ears bleed. He didn't want to hear anything, anymore. Then the screams turned into a sentence. ''All dead will rise.'' and then he fainted.
