Wendy and Chelia walked back to the guild hand in hand, smile grins on their faces. Pushing the guild doors open with their free hand.
"Hey guys!" Wendy greets with a grin. Natsu could literally feel the excitement radiating off her.
"Hey Wendy! We're over here!"
"Huh? Is that Natsu?" Chelia asks turning to Wendy with a confused look.
"Yeah...I'm on team Natsu" Wendy giggles dragging her over to the table.
"Hey Lucy-San, Erza-San and Gray-San!" Wendy exclaims happily.
"Hey Wendy!" Lucy greets with a wave.
"Hello Wendy" Erza nods, with a small smile before returning to her conversation she was having with Lucy before hand.
"You know you really don't need to call me Gray-San. We're equals" Gray comments, turning to Natsu who was looking at him with an eyebrow raised.
"What?"
"Never thought I'd hear you say that your equal with someone without a comment after" Natsu snickers. Gray just rolls his eyes, returning his attention back to Wendy.
"So...This is your mate?" Gray asks giving Chelia a nod.
Chelia gives him a confused look, Wendy slowly nods. Confused on how he even knew about Mating Season.
'Did...Natsu tell him?'
"No. Flamebrain was a scaredy cat. I found out on my own" Gray replies to her unspoken question with a smirk.
"Hey! I could've told you easily!"
"Yeah, that's what you told me when I confronted you about" Gray grumbles. Both Wendy and Chelia heard this and sort of felt sorry for him. He seemed to take it hard from what they were seeing.
"Look...I get it...It's just hard okay?"
"I'm so confused" Chelia states causing Gray to look at her.
"Well. I would give you the book I found but Gajeel's got it" Gray sighs, scanning the guildhall before stopping at the far end.
"Over there" Gray points, towards Gajeel who was sitting with Levy. A book in front of him.
"That will give you the answers you're looking for."
"Oh, erm, thanks" Chelia thanks turning around to face where Gray was pointing.
"No problem" after a short while he turned to Natsu with an irrated Ash for brains let go of my hand!" Gray's casual conversation cuts short, a blush rapidly spreading across his features.
"I don't wanna..." Natsu grumbles, sharing a similar blush to Gray.
Wendy giggles at the two before giving Chelia giving her a reassuring look.
"I'll come with you" Wendy states noticing their still intwined fingers. Chelia also looks down at their hands before returning her gaze to Wendy, her blue eyes looking into Wendy's hazel ones.
Giggling, they walk over to Gajeel. Chelia's nerves washing away. Lyon smiles, shaking his head from where he was seated at the bar.
'So that's why she wanted to come so badly.'
Wendy quickly noticed that Levy!was in Gajeel's lap. And then began to smile.
"Hey...Sorry to disrupt."
"It's fine kiddo. I'm guessing you're here for the book?" Gajeel questions, picking up the mentioned book midway.
"Yeah...I didn't know there was a book?" Wendy questioned slightly.
"I'm being honest here. I didn't either. But Gray found it in the guild's library. Must've been masters doing. But I checked the information...Well Levy did really. I just answered some of her questions when she found something she had never read before. It's pretty truthful about the whole thing. Handy" Gajeel explains, handing it to Chelia. Chelia letting go of Wendy's hand to grasp it. Wendy immediately misses the feeling. But quickly dismisses the idea of trying to reach out for it again.
"Woah...this is quite big" Chelia murmurs looking at it with a mixture of curiosity and shock.
"Yeah, I would suggest reading the introduction and what each stage consists of. It can usually be found in the heading of the stages" Levy suggests, knowing it would be too much for the young girl to handle.
"You guys need to remember you're quite young. Your still kiddos" Gajeel is cut of by Levy's laughter. "Oh sorry, that was priceless."
Gajeel rolls his eyes slightly. "The point is you've gotta remember you're doing this early. It might help you in the long run. Just don't take it too far. Got that?"
"Don't worry Gajeel. We won't" Wendy reassures, turning to Chelia again who was reading the book.
"Mhm."
"Right. Do whatever you guys do" Gajeel nods, looking over Levy's shoulder.
"What are you reading?"!he grumbles causing Levy to shake her head.
"You're interested at the weirdest times."
Which causing them both to smile at the couple, Chelia closing he book slightly to watch where she was going.
"Well I think I need sometime to read parts of this..."
"Of course!" Wendy chirps. They begin to walk away before Gajeel calls them.
"Could you return it when you'd finished with it? Laxus might need it."
"Of course!" Wendy replies, taking Chelia's hand again before leading her to a table.
"Guess I'm going back to work" Chelia comments giving Wendy a smile.
"Yeah. I guess so-"
"There you are child! I was beginning to worry!" Carla's voice rang out behind them.
"Oh! Sorry Carla" Wendy apologies sheepishly.
"One minute you're giving a tour around Magnolia, the next your...Wait a second. Are you two?" Carla stops there. Not wanting to embarrass Wendy any more.
"Yeah! It's great!"
Carla smiles slightly. Happy that Wendy has sorted out the doubt that was in the back of her mind.
"I see, well. Take good care of her Chelia."
"I will!" Chelia announces cheerfully. Giving Carla a smile.
