Spring soon made way for summer, and Urgon’s visits to Zhura continued. Rather than dig himself in each night, he laid out a large skin on which the dirt sat. He and Kraloch would pull it up, then return it when the visit was complete, filling in the edges with soil to erase any sign of their endeavours. This made the job much more manageable, not to mention relatively quick. On the inside, Urgon and Zhura dug a proper hole, covering it with furs to hide it. The visits grew longer. And then, each night, he would relate to Kraloch what had transpired once he returned. Several times he tried to convince his comrade to join him, but Kraloch adamantly argued someone should keep watch.
