There are many shades of white.    Although in daily life, the color white doesn't hold that much significance, but in my life, it has been given immense importance and meaning.    Some say that there are over eighty shades of white. It's a spectrum, or a mixture, of different beautiful colors. Maybe that's why those colors' beauty neutralizes the color white and gives it such a plain and simple yet bright and light existence. And now, it has become a characteristic of my life. This color is revolving around me like the sun; enchanting me with its existence.    I realized all these things when I held the white shroud which covered the corpse of my father. This color has now stained my soul. At that moment, the dead bodies of my mother and brother were also being sealed by this color and soon, they shall be taken to their awaited destinations.    Dust to dusk. They shall be returned back to the place from which their beings were moulded from.    Even I myself am wrapped in my white mourning clothes.    My name is Khadijah and today, I became an orphan.
