Tame Her Alpha

CHAPTER FIVE

Catharina crunched low in the restroom, landing heavily on her backside. She panicked as the phone's light shone recklessly in the dark. It was a full moon today, which was why the globe on the phone had turned on to its highest magnitude. She inputed the numbers she had memorized in a frenzied hurry. She could not afford to get any digit wrong. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. She saved the number cautiously, satisfied she had gotten in. She switched off the phone, and the light went out slowly, flickering a few times before going off.

She attempted to move from her position. She smiled to herself when she discovered she was free to move. She thought that Alpha Kane must have left.

She quickly disappeared into her dorm room. The Omegas who had no families were made to stay in dorm rooms, while the ones with families were given apartments in the Omega building, which was why they had several Omega houses across the pack, due to their population.

She dived straight into her wardrobe. She slid the phone in gently between her clothes, hiding it away from view. She closed her wardrobe and locked it, putting in new codes for her security lock. That way, her plan would be safe, and she would begin implementing it once Alpha Lej left the Pack Territory, so Kane would not suspect anything. The unruly bastard that he was.

She was about to turn away from her bed when she was suddenly shoved into the wall by a group of Omega concubine wannabees. She recognized each one of them: Lucille, Lucy, and Kate. They were servants in Alpha Kane's castle. They had started schooling together, but the girls were unable to gain anything from the schooling, and the pack had considered it a waste of space and knowledge. The girls had been dropped and switched with other ready Omegas.

They were all age-mates with Catharina. They had just reached eighteen full moons and were now able to scent their mates. This was something that angered them, as they all hoped to be chosen by Alpha Kane as his s*x maid, a task that was common among the other wolves. Lots of Omega women enjoyed freedom in this way, those that were lucky enough, while some were also used as s*x toys till death. The girls had, however, turned bitter as Alpha Kane had made it known on several occasions that he had no interest in an Omega except to kill them.

The girls were known for trouble in the Omega building. Catharina was surprised that they sought her out. She gathered her courage and questioned them, looking from one girl to the other. What do you want?" she asked, her lips quivering. She willed her body to calmness, standing her ground before the girls. They were a vicious trio and would not waste any time in tearing off all of her golden curls in seconds if she provoked them.

"You are called by Omega Kuse." "He seems to have something of worth to talk to you about," Lucille said, staring at Catharina’s worn clothes with disgust. There were a few threadbare patches Aline had sewn in before her death.

Catharina blinked in disbelief, "Surely you jest. There are lots of Omegas in this building. How can Omega Kuse know my name? " She would not do something as stupid as follow them out. It could be a trap. Perhaps her alpha, Jake, called for her since she was the closest to Alina.

Kate snorted. "Stop being so arrogant, young Miss," she sneered, "were you not the wolf who just left the restroom? So disgusting, I can smell your scent all the way up here. "

Catharina’s heart made a loud thumping noise; she could hear her own breathing loudly in her ears. Backed into a corner, "How do you know that?" she asked in shock, fear grabbing her entire being.

The girls laughed at her, giggling amongst themselves, "She is not just stupid, she is also dumb."

"Uh, take a look at her." It is such a waste of space to allow her to go to school. "Alpha Kane should just scrape Omegas' privilege to attend school," Lucy said saucily, half forgetting she was also an Omega.

"I heard he was going to do that. He had already proposed it to Alpha Jake. He is just waiting for the festival to end, then he will implement it. Stupid wolves, like you, should not be allowed to go to school. They should be warming the beds of people like Omega Kuse. "

They were all laughing hysterically. Catharina, not able to process their words, left them and began her search for Omega Kuse on her own. Omega Kuse was the head of the Omega’s in the pack. He represented their matters in front of the Alpha. He saw to their overall wellbeing. He was an extremely old Omega, who had seen many moons. His mate had died from stillbirth and had since then refused to take on another mate.

She wondered what she was being called for. She hoped no one had seen her holding the phone. She could not afford to tell a lie when she got to Omega Kuse. He would sniff out her lies from meters away.

Fidgeting with the tips of her loose skirt, Catharina went over to the general Omega Lounge, where she saw Omega Kuse sitting spawn on the sofa. He was hanging so limply and haggard that Catharina knew he would not be able to change into his wolf form ever again. She felt a tear slip from the corner of her eyes at the condition of the old man. The Omegas were used from the beginning of their lives, then abandoned and left to die.

Shaking the omega awake, "You called for me?"

The Omega looked at her, squinting his eyes to take a good look at her. He was not smiling, though. It seemed he had had a not so pleasurable moment minutes before.

"You were the Omega that went to the restroom while Alpha Kane subdued our wolves?" The old man asked directly, staring fully at her petite form.

"I did not defy his instruction. I was locked in a position as well. I had to stay where I was," Catharina wailed, her fingers curling into her hair as she stepped back, fear written all over her.

The old man nodded, "Surely you have. But sadly, your presence there was questionable, as some strange lights of some sort were shining from the restroom, and Alpha Kane questioned the owner of that light. "

Catharina’s mouth fell open. But how do you know that? Were you not also held to a position by Alpha Kane too? "

"It was not I," Omega Kuse corrected, "It was the Alpha himself. He was the one who summoned you here. " The Omega explained

Her panic was beyond explanation; she shivered uncontrollably. He must not see her. He had smelled her scent the day before, when he had murdered Alina at his mansion. If he smells her again, he will surely get her killed as it would be believed she was on a revenge mission.

Sensing her discomfort, Kuse gave her a bottle. "If he smells your scent, he is definitely going to have you punished, and you are so young an Omega, your strength is no match for that monster." The man reasoned, "Drink this; this drink is potent for two or three seasons and nothing more."

"But what will it do?" She was extremely frightened that evil Kane would kill her should he recognize her.

"The drug will conceal your scent since he only recognizes your scent. He can do nothing. No matter how strong an Alpha he is, he would not be able to scent you out. "

Skeptical, Catharina asked, "Since when have you been making this?" Catharina asked quietly.

"For several seasons now, I have had my own laboratory here. Alpha Jake sponsors some of my projects, but I also have other research aside from the work he gives me. I know he will die if he finds out, but we all can't just sit back and not refute his rule one way or the other. We have to try our best. "Alpha Kane may try all he wants, but he will get nothing out of you today."

"And what do you get in return?" She asked sheepishly, her eyes hopeful as she stared at Omega Kuse.

"You just make this caste of ours proud. Be a teacher. Be a brave teacher who will speak out for equality for the omegas without fear of repercussions. Someone who will use whatever means possible to get this nation "Omega" Kuse looked deep into Catharina's eye. The old man’s innuendo was well understood; the only honourable way to come out of this oppression was to attack the pack in a way they least expected, and she would do it. Even though she was scared to death, the number she had in her possession was going to go a long way in helping them to achieve their dreams.

"Go and meet Evil Kane, but no matter what, do not ever tell anyone your secret." She nodded carefully. She had no idea if he knew her motives, but she knew she could trust him. Opening the lid on the bottle, Catharina poured the brownish liquid into her throat in one gulp.

Her body became ice immediately. She felt so cold inside.

She could not smell anything. Gradually, her senses returned, though her body still shivered. It would be her first time seeing the Alpha face-to-face, stepping outside the building into the dead of the night. She ran to the hall of the meeting of the Alpha and Omega heads.

The place had been specially built to ensure the Omega’s did not see the Alpha’s whenever they came visiting. It was Catharina’s first time entering the cosy house. It was so modern and lush, the scenery was beautiful. There were flowers lining the interior of the house, leading her to the large open room.

She did not need a seer to tell her Evil Kane was within, though she could scent one. That had to be Alpha Lej. With all the will she possessed, she stepped into the room.

Alpha Kane was sitting on a sofa in the room, looking so calm, though one could see the monstrosity in his eyes. They were staring right back at her.

She gasped in fright when he indicated she should move closer. He was mean-looking; his handsome face was ridged with hard lines, making him appear unapproachable; he was dressed in royal grandeur, though it showed he had hurriedly worn it, which Catharina knew all too well. His hands were yet to turn back fully; the monstrous claws were still there for everyone to see. The Alpha had lost control of his wolf and had changed form. Standing afar, she timidly took tiny steps closer to him, tears blurring her vision.

Though he felt at ease in her presence, he soon grew restless, suddenly disgusted at being at the mercy of an Omega. Lej, your imagination sure does go far. How can this dirty rag be what makes my wolf calm? " He turned to his friend while still eyeing Catharina's subdued form. She was literally shaking in his presence.

"It is just the initial look. Take a closer look at her Kane. There seemed to be something missing in an Omega. Her scent is now so low, I could not scent her out until she got closer, but we could smell she was the one from outside the building. What happened? " Alpha Lej reasoned, looking at Catharina ridiculously.

"How is that possible?" Kane challenged, "I could scent her but it is too low as you said."

"Something is definitely wrong," Lej surmised, taking note of Kane struggling to keep his wolf under control once more. He dashed out of the room as Kane’s hands shifted to claws, though his whole body still remained human. Lej, feeling guilty, stood at the entrance. He wondered if his guess was correct. That could be Kane’s mate, but why was his wolf suddenly erratic near her?

Lej knew Kane could kill her, but Lej knew there was nothing he could do to save her from Kane’s claws. He was no match.

He beat his chest in anger, then brought out the piece of paper that held Kane’s phone number and tore it to pieces. His s*x maid was also an Omega. He knew she would not be so happy if she heard another Omega died just so hers could be saved.

Kane had never gotten his wolf to calm down by himself, but it had been subdued near the building, and now his wolf was back wanting to be let out. He was definitely looking to leave his mark on the Omega before him, but he would never allow it. He would not be mated to an Omega. His bloodshot eyes moved lazily and settled on Catharina, who clutched her ragged clothes tightly to her chest. He walked slowly, his look distorted as though his wolf had taken over, his every step making Catharina’s heart thump madly. She stepped back quietly. But she was smart enough to know there was no escape for her. His scent overpowered her though. She was lulled by his scent. He pulled her close in one move. Her tiny frame hit his hard body.

Catarina’s eyes widened sharply as she felt a sudden invasion in her mouth. Her lips were forcefully pulled apart by his strong ones. In a possessive kiss, he put his hands at the back of her head, pulling her firmly against him. His hands reformed fully into those of a human immediately. Catharina's muddled mind gazed at Alpha Kane’s form on her being. He was holding her tightly; it was effortless to try to free herself. He was much stronger. He held her strong frame to his body. Catharina fought for air as Alpha Kane refused to release her.

He took hold of her mouth with his, grinding her body hard against his, her petite frame not doing her any justice to his large one. She was completely covered.

Suddenly pushing her away, Kane fought hard to control himself. Something just was not right. He was unable to control himself around the Omega mansion. And his werewolf senses knew someone was behind it; someone was using the Omega to lure him out.

He was staring at the girl standing in front of him, her eyes staring defiantly at him. The girl no doubt hated him more than she feared him at the moment.

"Get out of here," he commanded, not sure of his thinking. She might be a tool being used by someone else to control him. He would let her go for now.

She hung her head low. Not bothering to meet his eyes, she sidestepped him and began walking out.

As she walked past him, Kane grabbed her and hugged her body close to his. On second thought, she squirmed and slapped him, wanting to be released, but he held on.

He had a plan that very much involved this Omega. Before releasing her, Kane made sure he rubbed his scent all over her. She sent him a puzzled glare before running out.

Feeling contented with himself, he now had to make a move on whoever was dancing behind her. He had already played his game; it was time to catch whoever dared challenge his authority.

He found it odd that he had been unable to smell her scent and the wild way he had behaved right here in this mansion. He would have to keep a closer eye on the Omega's, and that he would do. The Omega girl would be a lovely pawn to use in the game.

But he would still play the part of the ignorant, uncontrollable pack leader for a while. This was a fight he planned to win and he would. The pack was named the Kane Blue Blood, all for him and he would rule it.
