Chapter 31

1542 Words

Morgan closed the door silently behind her, shoes in her hand, as she snuck outside with Misty at her heels. Kathy and Teresa had insisted on spending the night with her, and had been up late into the night looking over the journals and comparing notes. But now Morgan needed some time to herself and as always, she sought solace along the beach. One foot in front of the other. She walked in a daze to the rockery, just as every Seaver before her had done. This was where it all started with John and Keyna meeting, where the first kitten was rescued, and where Morgan had found out so much about her ancestors and about herself. It didn"t surprise her at all to find Gabe already at the rockery, waiting for her. His violin was in position on his shoulder and the sound of music filled the air.
