Himalaya

209 Words
The sun cast a dull golden haze over the Himalayan foothills, where the last signs of civilization thinned into winding trails and whispering winds. A steel-blue SUV crawled up the narrow mountain road like a beetle among jagged rocks, carrying seven young souls hungry for adventure—and unaware of what watched from the high ridgelines. Inside, laughter echoed, music thumped low, and cameras clicked at the passing pine forests and sheer cliffs. Maya, the group’s spirited planner, pointed at a distant snowcap. “We camp there tonight,” she beamed. But as the road curved, the air grew colder. Trees leaned inward, like guardians sharing secrets. From above, unseen eyes glinted in the dusk. A shadow shifted—tall, pale, and unnatural. It moved soundlessly, vanishing as quickly as it appeared. The SUV’s engine sputtered, stalling for a heartbeat. Birds stopped singing. “Did you feel that?” Rohan asked, his smile fading. A chill ran through everyone. What they didn’t know was that this mountain had its own memories. And tonight, those memories would awaken—ghosts whispering through frozen winds, and a forgotten beast etched into Himalayan legend waiting to be seen again. Their journey had begun… but it was far from the adventure they expected.
