-Trinity's POV-
I jolted as my alarm went off, quickly rolling over to smack the snooze before turning back onto my back and staring at the ceiling.
"Samael...." I shook my head. I had been having this dream randomly for years now and every time it left me feeling confused.
I rested my lower arm across my forehead and closed my eyes again. As always, the images were fading quickly and the only thing I could remember was that name.
I laid like this for a while, until my alarm went off again. I cursed, finally sitting up and turning off the alarm on my phone. I noticed I had an unread message from my boss "Can you open and close today? I need extra time at home this morning".
I sighed, this had to be happening at least once a week now. I'm not sure what "extra" she needed to do at home, but considering she didn't have any kids and her husband left the house before she did I was quite convinced she was just plain lazy.
I suppose it wasn't the worst, extra money in my pocket was just what I was after these days. I desperately wanted to go backpacking in Europe, or to go to the beaches in the Caribbean, or to visit the pyramids in Egypt. Heck, I didn't care where I went as long as it wasn't here. This town was the worst.
When I say the worst, I mean it. No one here traveled anywhere else. School field trips growing up? Always within the towns borders. I tried running away a couple times in my youth, but was always caught. My parents caught me with travel magazines once and we had to have a bonfire to dispose of them. It was nuts.
My plan was to save up as much money as I could and to run in the middle of the night. I was an adult now, so no one could stop me, yet I felt as though they would still try. Hence, I had decided to keep my plans a secret.
I realized I had sat there pondering far too long, so I quickly jumped out of bed and made my way to my en-suite bathroom, turning on the shower and undressing before jumping in. I was grateful my parents had as much money as they did, I practically had this part of the house to myself which was a blessing. We didn't typically see eye to eye, but they still took care of me so I suppose that counted for something. I knew they would never give me the money to go, hence I never bothered asking.
I quickly washed my hair and body, jumping back out and wrapping myself in my towel. I made my way over to the sink and quickly brushed my teeth and hair, pulling it back into a ponytail. I normally liked to dry and straighten it, but if I did that I wouldn't make it to work on time. I put on a little light makeup, just to even everything out and make my eyes pop.
Examining myself in the mirror I decided I was good to go in that category. I've always been pretty average looking, certainly nothing to stare at, but I liked my light features. Naturally blonde, lighter blue eyes that looked almost grey in the right lighting. I also wasn't a twig like most girls tried to be, I liked having some curves.
I made my way back out to the bedroom and grabbed my uniform top and some plain black pants, throwing on a lacy black bra with matching underwear before putting the rest on. I gave myself one more look in my full length mirror and with a nod I was off.
I made my way downstairs out the side door. This part of the house used to be servants quarters before we moved in, hence I really did have my own space. I even had my own small kitchen area, though my parents insisted on the occasional family dinner.
As I stepped out I was pleasantly surprised, the weather was already nice and the sun was shining. Score! I hated walking to work when it was ugly. I had enough money saved that I could have bought a care, but that would take away from my "leave this crazy town" money and I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Thankfully the cafe wasn't far from home.
I put in my earbuds and walked the 20 minutes to work, passing other businesses and the local park on the way. Before I knew it I was standing out front of Oakvale Cafe. I stopped and looked at the sign, sighing and shaking my head. Here's to another long day. I walked up and opened the door, ready to start my usual boring shift.
