I called my mom to check on her and tell her I was going to Tony’s house.. I know mom worries about me. I wasn’t ready to take over when dad died. She knows I feel lost I don’t know what to do with my life.

Two years ago just as I turned 18 my dad passed away. With him passing I had to take over the family businesses. I’ve always planned to take over but not like this. Not right as I turned 18 right and as soon as I graduated high school. Now for the last two years I feel like a slave to the committee who are always comparing me to my father. They don’t think I’m ready and I think they might be right. They could probably find better than me. The only reason they haven’t is because I’m the best fighter and largest wolf. I know I’m only an alpha because no one can win against me but I feel like it’s pointless.

Last night I was up all night doing business with other countries packs and I feel exhausted. However, if I get to Tony’s in time there’s a chance I’ll get to see Raina before she leaves for school.

I know it’s weird she’s still a kid but I’ve had an attachment to her for years. Of course I would never do anything about it she’s Tony’s little sister. She’s off limits! The first time I saw her I thought she was the one. She was playing basketball with Tony when I came over and she shoved him over and swished the ball. She always seems so strong. I loved playing basketball with her but then I started getting too excited when she would push against me, so I had to end that before Tony caught on that I was attracted to his sister. He’s made it clear she deserved the best and I know I’m far from it.

I’ve tried to get her out of my mind but the only time I feel at peace is when she’s there. I’ve even tried being with countless women but I catch myself wondering what she would think. Or the most disturbing thing is most of the time I catch myself while I’m with a women closing my eyes and thinking about it being her. I’d picture I was under her and she was straddling me and I even said her name once which quickly ended my night. God I’m such a horrendous friend. Tony is the future leader of his clan but since I’m an alpha werewolf so he asked me to help keep Raina safe. How do I keep her safe? I fantasize about her! Tony has been such a great friend and all I have done is betray him.

I’ve been trying to keep my distance from her and I asked Tony not to tell his family what’s been going on about me. He kept his word of course because he’s a great friend. She has no clue what I’ve been going through but I didn’t want her to try to comfort me, that’s the last thing I need.

Her car is still in the drive, I made it in time. Tony is outside waiting for me and when we go inside Raina says good morning, sweetly as always. I tried to do a cool nod. Then, we head to the backyard to play hoops. Before we’re all the way out Raina asks if I want to go to her party. She’ll finally be 18 but she will still be Tony’s sister. But if she wants me there then there I’ll be.

While we’re playing basketball we start to hear Raina get upset so we go see what’s going on and it sounds like the big party she had planned was getting canceled. When she gets off the phone she explains what was going on as tears slide down her face. I had to step away from her watching her cry made me feel like tearing someone apart to protect her but this wasn’t something I could protect her from. I got an idea to try to make her feel better. I offer to host the party on the packs boat.

Then I headed straight over to the boat to start preparations. When I see the boat I reassure myself I think it could work we could do a garden at sea theme. I call over some of the pack members that work the boat. “Tonight we’re going to have two friends over for dinner and then on Friday we will be hopefully hosting a 18th birthday party for one of my friends. She deserves to have a really nice party. The theme I am thinking is garden at sea. I want this place to look like a tropical oasis. For the menu she loves pasta so I’d like at least 3 pasta options, with steak and lobster as options for the guests. She is expecting around 100 guests I suspect it will be more like 200 since some of the pack will come too. So plan for at least 200. Her favorite flowers are ranunculus and garden roses so I want lots of those. I’d like a presentation of what the event should look like so I can show her tonight. They will be here at 6 so I want to see the presentation by 5. Any other details we can smooth out later this week”. The crew were all just smiling at me and then the captain said you heard him we finally got some work to do and everyone started bustling around. My friend Ryan said “we’re all just happy to see you excited for something. Who are the guests for tonight? “I said Tony and his sister”. One of the newer pack members named Brad said “Are you talking about Raina Cox?” “Yes, do you know her?” I said. He laughed and said “Ya we went to the same school she was a grade younger. She so f*cking sexy, what I would do to get her in my bed”. I lost it I grabbed him by the collar and penned him up over the railing. I growled “If you even dare to look at her again, it will be the last thing you do. You are relieved of ship duty you’ve been reassigned to the pack house toilets” then I turned to Mar an older woman that has worked for my family for a long time. “Mar can you walk with me. I need this boat to feel safe for ladies and I want to bring on more women crew members and make sure it’s only pack members who haven’t tried anything with me.

Then I headed back to Tony’s so I could talk to him about work. When I got there I didn’t see him so I headed upstairs to check his room. When I got to the top of the stairs there she was. In a TOWEL! I wanted to pounce on her. I took a deep breath, be cool man. I just said “see you tonight”. I tried to stop breathing as I passed for fear I’d breath in her scent. I faced my body away from hers to avoid her seeing what’s in my pants after seeing her in a towel. She is such a vision her blue eyes just pierce right through me. Her wet brunette hair hung in little curls draping over her figure. I went inside Tony’s room, shutting the door behind me. I put my head against his door and closed my eyes. What the heck am I supposed to do I am in love with her and I can never have her. It would ruin everything between Tony and I. He’s been my best friend most my life and is now helping me deal with my pack. He made it clear he didn’t want his sister with a guy like me. He thinks I have anger issues and he isn’t wrong, plus he thinks the way I hop from woman to woman is wrong but none of them can compete with her.
