Seven

The Spawns and I catch up on our lives that missed the last few months. We laughed and reminisced our old memories.

“I do not think they will be coming tonight, it's already hitting 9 pm,” Marcel brought us to reality.

“Well, it will be their loss then, I will be leaving on Sunday for a mission,” I informed the team, and they became serious.

“Why are we hearing about this now?” Luca asked,

“I was finalizing some details and wanted to tell you after I confirmed all the details,” I walked to my desk and got out some files that contain the same information in each.

I handed the files to each one of them. They open it and skim through the information and their respective roles in this mission.

“Bella, this is dangerous, anything could happen to you” Kailyn exclaimed,

“I am aware of the danger, that is why this is one of the most important missions in for my revenge. I have thought this thoroughly,” I assured everyone in the group.

“Boss, Cristian is requesting to meet you” Liam entered the room,

“Let him come up” I informed him; Liam walked out after nodding.

“I am sorry princess, not everyone was willing to come. Only Jaxon, Jay and Zion,” he said sadly,

“It’s okay. I understand,” I told him,

“Sir, you need to understand, we tell you inside this room will stay in here. Not a single topic should be spoken out of these walls,” Luca stood beside me, after all, we both hold the highest authority in this building.

“Settle down, I will ask Liam to get you guys something to drink” I gestured them to take a seat in my small conference room in my office. Liam served everyone their drinks and left us alone.

“Cristian you should wonder why I have never bonded with anyone of your family?” I looked at Cristian,

“I thought it was because of your memory loss,” he looked confused,

“That is one of the reason, the other one is because I could not trust the family,” I told them,

“Now the only Mendez that has to gain my partial trust are the ones in this room,” I continued,

“Life has not been easy since that incident, Mama became a devil. Drugs and Alcohol were her best friends, I became her enemy. She then died from an overdose and Alcohol poisoning, leaving me alone to survive”

“I was sent to 5 different foster home since then. The journey was a tough one, and thanks to these idiots, I was able to survive each one of them. Soon, I started my own business and Luca joined me,” I smiled at Luca, he returned it brightly,

“Anyways, life was not always bright, so to fast forward to the important topics, I know you guys are the Mendez Mafia” I jumped straight to the important topic,

“I do not understand where this is going,” Jax looked totally confused,

“We are globally known as the Spawn, you should know us slightly better as we always helped you guys with the toughest mission,” I smiled,

“How can it be,” Cristian muttered,

“Sorry, I am short on time. So, I know that you have one enemy who is the Schultz. And you have a traitor in your Mafia. This file contains his details, use it wisely,” I passed the file to Cristian.

“Also, I would like to inform you that I will be leaving on Sunday for something important. I am not sure when I will be coming back” I informed him,

“I need time to wrap my head around all this information thrown at me. You can do whatever you want” Cristian spoke not knowing what he was saying. I can understand his emotions which were too much for him to handle. He did not disapprove of my request that I did not ask but stated.

“Are you coming home with us?” Jay asked me as they started to leave my office,

“Sorry, I still have some things to settle, I should be back around tomorrow afternoon,” I replied.

“What about school?” Jaxon stammered,

“Guys, I am a CEO. School is just a façade for me,” I chuckled.

They nodded at the fact and walked out looking sadly at the ground,

“Wait!” I called out to them, Cristian is already near the lift,

“Lets’ go out when I come back from my work tomorrow,” I informed them, and they smiled happily.

“You are changing, and I like the change, my dear” Dem smiled.

Until dawn, we were making plans, destroying them, screaming at each other, breaking some glasses. We finally came up with a perfect plan at least for now.

Missions rarely follow the plan we create for them. Sometimes, we have to come up with a backup plan right at the moment.

This mission is too dangerous I might not even come back alive. That is why everyone is being overstressed. They love me too much.

“This is the best we can come up with” Luca sighed in defeat,

“I will create new devices that we can use in the mission. No one can track it. No sensors in the world can detect it,” I told them,

“I will pass it to them before I leave. Remember, I will contact you guys as always,”

“Are the same rules that we follow for our missions apply for this?” Marcel asked rubbing his chin like an old man.

“No. This mission will follow the basic but the advanced rules will not suit for this mission” I informed them,

“I will update you each and every moment I can. There will be times when I will be out of contact. The moment, it reaches more than one year and 6 months then you guys can begin the search for me,” I smiled,

“Why that long?” Kailyn argued,

“I have estimated that it will take at least two to three years for this mission to end. Also, that is the perfect amount of time for me to gain all the information that I will need to bring him down” I sighed.
