“No,” said Gwyn.
“What? Why not?” Brân’s voice was offended.
“I’m not having you coming over and scaring everyone,” Gwyn said firmly.
“I don’t scare people!” Brân was even more offended now.
“You do so offend people and this is my hotel and I am going to do the interviews for the new chef without you,” Gwyn said firmly.
“And what about Starling? I thought you’d promote him?”
Gwyn shook his head, although he was over the other side of the room and Brân couldn’t see him on the screen. “No. Not experienced enough, we decided,” he said.
“We decided?” There was an edge to Brân’s voice.
“We decided,” Darren confirmed, going around to the front of the screen so Brân could see him.
“Oh, you’re there, are you?” Brân stated the obvious.
“I’m here,” Darren said. “It’s our flat.”
