Chapter 2: The Wedding Planner's Dilemma

1221 Words
Samantha arrived at the coffee shop for her meeting with Jack, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. As she approached the table where he was sitting, she saw that he was not alone. Sitting across from him was a young woman with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. "Hi, I'm Jack," he said, standing up to shake Samantha's hand. "And this is Jenna, my fiancée." Samantha smiled and introduced herself, taking a seat at the table. She listened intently as Jack and Jenna told her about their vision for their wedding. They wanted something elegant and sophisticated, with a touch of rustic charm. As they talked, Samantha couldn't help but notice Jenna's older brother, Liam. He was sitting at a nearby table, typing away on his laptop. Samantha found herself stealing glances at him, admiring his sharp jawline and piercing green eyes. She quickly shook herself out of her thoughts, reminding herself that she was here to plan a wedding, not to flirt with a stranger. Over the next few weeks, Samantha worked closely with Jack and Jenna to plan their wedding. They had frequent meetings and phone calls, discussing every detail from the floral arrangements to the seating chart. At each meeting, Samantha found herself drawn to Liam. She was surprised by the intensity of her attraction to him, but tried to ignore it. She was a professional, after all, and she didn't want to jeopardize her relationship with her clients. One day, as they were discussing the wedding favors, Liam chimed in with a suggestion. Samantha was struck by how insightful his idea was, and she found herself admiring his creativity and intelligence. After the meeting, Samantha couldn't help but think about Liam. She wondered if he felt the same spark that she did, or if she was just imagining things. A few days later, Samantha received a call from Jenna. "Hey, Samantha, I wanted to invite you to a small family dinner we're having this weekend. We would love for you to come and meet some of our family members who will be attending the wedding." Samantha felt a mix of excitement and nerves. She was curious to meet Jenna's family, but she couldn't help but wonder if Liam would be there. On the day of the dinner, Samantha arrived at Jenna's house, feeling a bit apprehensive. As she walked into the living room, she saw Liam sitting on the couch, chatting with Jack and a few other guests. Samantha tried to ignore the flutter in her stomach as she greeted everyone and took a seat at the table. She listened as Jenna's parents talked about their family history, and as Jenna's younger sister gushed about her own upcoming wedding. Throughout the evening, Samantha found herself stealing glances at Liam. She was surprised to see that he was doing the same to her. As the dinner wound down, Jenna's family thanked Samantha for her hard work and dedication to their wedding. Samantha felt a sense of pride, knowing that she had done her job well. But as she said her goodbyes and headed to her car, Samantha couldn't help but think about Liam. She wondered if there was something there between them, or if it was just wishful thinking. Only time would tell. Samantha tried to shake off her thoughts about Liam as she focused on the meeting. She listened intently as Jenna shared her vision for the wedding, taking detailed notes and offering suggestions for the various aspects of the event. As the meeting came to a close, Samantha thanked Jenna and Jack for considering her as their wedding planner. She promised to send over a proposal with more details and pricing within the next few days. As she gathered her things and prepared to leave, Samantha couldn't help but steal a glance at Liam, who was leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his chest. He caught her eye and smiled, and Samantha felt her heart skip a beat. Over the next few weeks, Samantha worked closely with Jenna and Jack to plan their wedding. They met several times to discuss the details, and Samantha found that she enjoyed working with both of them. Jenna was bubbly and enthusiastic, while Jack was more reserved but kind-hearted. But every time Liam was in the room, Samantha found it hard to concentrate. She tried to ignore her feelings, telling herself that it was just a passing attraction. But as the weeks passed, her feelings for Liam only grew stronger. It wasn't just his good looks that attracted her. It was his kindness, his sense of humor, and the way he seemed to genuinely care about his sister and her fiancé. Samantha found herself drawn to him in a way that she had never felt before. One evening, after a particularly long day of wedding planning, Samantha found herself alone in her apartment, unable to shake off thoughts of Liam. She paced around the room, wondering if she should tell him how she felt. But she quickly dismissed the idea. Liam was Jenna's older brother, and it would be unprofessional and inappropriate for her to pursue him. She tried to push the thoughts aside, reminding herself that her focus should be on planning the wedding. But as the wedding day drew closer, Samantha found it harder and harder to ignore her feelings for Liam. She tried to keep her distance from him, but every time their paths crossed, she felt a jolt of electricity. On the day of the wedding, Samantha arrived at the venue early to oversee the setup. She tried to focus on the task at hand, but her thoughts kept drifting to Liam. As the guests began to arrive, Samantha spotted Liam across the room. He was wearing a sharp suit, and his dark hair was neatly styled. Samantha couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest. But she quickly reminded herself that this was not the time or place for such thoughts. She had a job to do, and she couldn't let her personal feelings get in the way. As the ceremony began, Samantha stood at the back of the room, watching as Jenna and Jack exchanged their vows. It was a beautiful moment, and Samantha felt a sense of pride in having helped create such a special day. But as the reception began, Samantha found herself drawn to Liam once again. He was charming and funny, making small talk with the guests and putting everyone at ease. As the night wore on, Samantha found herself stealing glances at Liam whenever she could. She knew that she shouldn't be feeling this way, but she couldn't help herself. As the wedding came to a close, Samantha felt a sense of sadness wash over her. She knew that she might never see Liam again, and the thought was almost unbearable. But as she packed up her things and headed out of the venue, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Liam standing there, a smile on his face. "I just wanted to say thank you for everything, Samantha," he said. "You did an amazing job with the wedding, and I know that Jenna and Jack are grateful for all your hard work." Liam said before going out of coffee shop.
