Hahahahaha you and I both.
My phone rings and I sit up and grab it. I yawn and I see xaviers name pop up.
"Hey you?"
"Hey you too. Your mum has been ringing every hour. Everything is prepared so all you need to do is get dressed but I'd appreciate it if you would kick my beta out of bed I need his help with lights"
"I'll ring her back now. Ugh I don't want to wake up I'm so comfortable"
"Yes I felt it through the bond that must have been one serious s*x dream"
"You felt that? Oh please floor swallow me whole now"
"Hahahaha yeah I felt it."
I giggle completely embarrassed by the entire thing and having absolutely nothing to say to him.
"I don't know how, but I basically felt how you felt without seeing anything or hearing anything. It was interesting"
"You're not mad?"
I bit my lip scared of his answer
"No Of Course not. It was a dream"
"Good"
"Ok wake my beta and send him downstairs please."
"Bye"
We hang up and I turn around in bed. Brian's hand lands on my ass. I took a second to look him over. I took a sniff. He didn't smell the way he smelled in the dream but he did smell good. Really really mouth wateringly good.
I decided against tasting him. That would probably be classed as inappropriate. He was definitely still just as hot. Panty dropping hot. Damn I wish I could taste him

I giggle at my dirty wolf's thoughts.I gently run my finger across his beautiful features. Despite his dirty blonde hair his lashes were dark making his eyes stand out even more. His lips were perfectly pink and plump. His nose is straight and perfectly structured in the middle of his face. He was drop dead gorgeous. I just wish I could have him. Everything would be easier but unfortunately he wasn't my mate.
I shook him awake and he groaned
"No I'm not getting up and neither are you. Your to comfy"
I giggle as he pulls me into him and holds me like I'm a teddy bear
"We have to. Mum will be here soon to get me ready and Xavier need your help with lights"
He Huffs and pouts, then kisses my forehead and nose then climbs out of bed. I stretch and yawn and climb out after him. I find a pair of shorts and flip flops and throw them on and ring mum as I go downstairs to make coffee
"Hello?"
"Where the hell have you been?"
"I got injured at training so I had a nap. When are you getting here cause I need to be healed before I shower"
"Be there in 5"
She muttered something else under her breath. I hung up and looked to Brian
"They are 5 mins out, can you make sure patrols know they are coming?"
"Already done. I better go get busy before she arrives I don't want her to shout at me"
I chuckle as he walks away
"Chicken s**t"
I sit down with my coffee and take a long sip enjoying the taste of it. Lola walks in and I smile then frown when I see how sad she is
"Ok sit and spill. Tell me what's going on you have had that same look since yesterday and I want to know why"
She sat beside me, but didn't look at me.
"I just had a vision and I can't change it and it's eating at me"
"Who's it about?"
"Not me or James but someone we know and I just don't know what to do"
I squeeze her hand
"You can't change it lo, if you could you would but you can't. It's going to happen and it's set in stone. If it was someone you didn't know, would it bother you this much?"
"No"
"Maybe you need to separate yourself from this then. You can't take this on. It's not your fault"
She finally looks up at me
"But should I tell the person? Should I tell them that everything is going to change soon?"
I thought about it. It's not her responsibility to tell anyone unless she can change it.
"Can they come back from this if they wore the necklace?"
A tear falls from her face and she shakes her head
"Then no. If nothing could be done I wouldn't tell unless there was a solution. And if there isn't you just gotta let what happens, happen."
I wipe her tear from her face
"What if the people around them don't forgive me for not telling?"
I shake my head
"People grieve in all sorts of ways but if they really know you, they will know there are no bad intentions from you. f**k look at you, you have been holding this in for days and your so sad. It's going to be ok"
She smiles and pulls me into a tight hug. She holds me tight like it would be the last time ever and a little fear seeps into my bones. But mum's voice ringing through the house pulls me out of my daze.
"In here"
"It's lovely here. So homely"
"Thanks mum"
She pulls the Bandage of my arm and cringes
"What the hell happened?"
I explained everything to her and by the end she grins
"I'm proud of you, that took guts but it was the right thing to do"
She heals me quickly then I greet everyone else. Baylee comes in and pulls me into a tight hug.
"How are you?"
I smile
"Good. I like it here I really do"
Sadness flashed over her features. I miss her too but this is my home now and I really do like it. I run upstairs for a quick shower then I throw on a fresh shirt and bottoms. When I return to the room I snigger at all the stuff mum and Fiona had with them. I sit down and sigh as they get to work making me look good.
When they are done I get dressed in my dress then throw on my boots and look myself over taking a few selfie's for insta. People probably think I'm shallow but I'm not. I just like getting paid so I might look shallow but I'm not.
I walk out and do a little twirl and they all whistle
"Might not be what I would wear on my Luna ceremony but you do pull it off better than anyone else"
Mum said happy with her work. Soon it was time and I wasn't even nervous. Just excited to be linked to my new pack minus their alpha. Dad waited for me and mum at the bottom of the stairs and together they walked me out to the stage where Xavier was waiting for me.
He whistled when he saw me making everyone laugh. I grinned at him. My parents kissed my cheek as Xavier helped me onto the stage where the elder stood. We held each other's hand and looked at him.
"Today is a special day. A joyful day. Today we welcome our new Luna, Megan into our pack. And what a beautiful young woman she is"
I smile as my cheeks heat. The man chuckles
"Megan. I ask you, will you stand with this pack, protect it against its enemies, be a mother to those who need love, a teacher to those who need taught and most importantly will you uphold our laws and pledge your life to ours, strengthening us as we strengthen you. Will you be loyal to the mate bond and lead with your alpha in every way you can? Do the things he can't and share your lives together as one"
"I do"
He hands Xavier a knife and he opens my palm and kisses it. Then slices the knife across my palm. He does the same to his and then he links us together forever.
Voice after voice flitted through my head making me grin

We cut the link as the crowd cheered. The elder kneeled to me and as I looked around everyone including my family were kneeling to me out of respect. I thought it was over but Xavier waved Brian onto the stage. The elder stood up and probably saw my puzzled expression. He leaned in quietly
"In our pack the gamma pledges there life to the Luna but we don't have one but Brian volunteered and the alpha eagerly accepted"
I nodded and smiled to him then looked to Brian who was on his knee in front of me
"I Brian Beta to the Opal moon pack kneel to you Megan Luna of the Opal moon pack. I pledge my life to yours and I promise to protect you until the day I die. On my honour"
There were gasps all around us. I was so confused and just looked at him puzzled until Brian whispered to me
"Tell me you accept nob head"
I snort and laugh as the nerves finally set in and Xavier busts out laughing making me laugh harder. Between nerves and the crowd I had tears streaming down my face.
"Sorry about that. Um I accept"
Everyone cheers and I laugh trying to calm myself down and fanning my face.
"Welcome Luna"
The elder said then walked off the stage as everyone walked away.
"You could have told me beforehand I nearly had a heart attack"
"Clearly. Welcome Luna and you look beautiful, I'm going to get us drinks"
Brian kissed my cheek and left. Xavier pulled me into his arms and hugged me softly. I let him, but I was nervous about the next part of the night.
"Are you ready for the pack run?"
"Yeah, what about buck? What if he comes out and won't go back in?"
"Burn him"
I frowned and looked at him but he wasn't lying. He was serious and now that I had forgiven him I didn't want to hurt him. Buck yes, he deserves to hurt. but burning him will make Xavier burn until the day he dies.
"I don't want to hurt you Xavier"
"No listen. I talked to the elders and I told them that buck has been taking over and the only way to rein him in is if you burn me so they know if it happens it had to happen but buck claims that he won't hurt anyone"
I sigh and nod not to happy about this but I won't have a choice if he tries anything.
"Fine I want Brian running with us just in case he tries something. There are kids here and I don't want to scare them"
"No problem. Now one other thing the elders have asked about is if you would mark me. I told them we are taking it slow but they are eager for it to happen it makes the pack stronger apparently"
I groan and sigh rubbing my head

I'm not really thrilled about it either but it would be better for the pack. We can bite him and not do anything else though
"I'll mark you but I'm not mating. Not yet"
"We technically have"
He growls at the memory and I shiver.
"Anyway we don't need to do that. I'm just happy you're letting me in your life and I don't expect anything from you other than be my packs Luna and I mean that"
I nod and look around for somewhere to change
"We have screens over there"
He leads me along the way as everyone says hey and welcome, as we pass Brian Xavier tells him he is running by my side and he grins at me and hands me a large glass of something and I drink it down to hopefully calm my nerves.
Xavier leads me past the screens and groans when he sees others use them then he pulls me into a small building. It had garden equipment in it but was fairly clean.
I started to strip off quickly and turned around and pulled Xavier into a hug and bit down on his shoulders making him hisss in surprise as the bound pulled into place. I use my tongue to seal it then pull away
"f**k Megan a little warning hahaha. Thank you"
I shifted and waited for Buck, nervous for his reaction but he didn't do anything making Harper even more nervous.

Harper
No. I have a bad feeling. He scares me Megs.
Me
It's ok we burn him if he does anything and we have Brian
We leave the shed and go straight to his side. Harper prances around him making me facepalm and howl in laughter. She is bad flirting away with Brian's wolf
Brian
"You are so beautiful. She is so like you hahaha always posing
Me
She is definitely worse. Come on let's get going I need a drink
I reply to Brian then look at Xavier waiting for the word
Xavier
Let's do this.
We take off out into the night and howl. The pack answers and howls back. We take off running together and I race them through the trees jumping over logs and prancing about.
We run for around 30 minutes and I can feel the entire pack even stronger than before. I can feel the connection to each one making me feel alive and happy.
We go back into the shed and shift. Just as I stand up Xavier shifts and smashes his lips against mine and pushes me against the wall. I freak and push him off
"What the f**k dude"
He blinks and pulls away
"Sorry. Please I didn't mean it. Please don't freak out and leave me"
He panics and I relax
"Just let me make the moves please, I'm not ready for that"
He sighs and relaxes
"Thank you"
I sigh in relief when we are done. I felt like I have been waiting for release all day long now that Harper had a chance to get out. I could nap happily but unfortunately I had a party to attend.
"We better get back to our guests"
I groan but pull away and get dressed quickly. We leave the room hand in hand and he pulls me into the crowd of people and to our table surrounded by my family. Baylee was crying her eyes out.
"What's wrong Baylee?Where are the boys?"
"They are playing. They will be over to eat soon. It was just really lovely watching you up there. And when Brian pledged his life to you. That doesn't happen very often anymore, that's a big deal"
I shrugged and smiled as he walked over with a bottle of tequila and handed me it, not bothering with a glass. I take a large slug of it as Baylee laughs
"A man after my own heart, gimi that"
She stole the bottle as I sat beside her. Brian sat beside me and kissed my cheek. I leaned into him, relaxing as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and I sighed in happiness, Xavier sat opposite us. Food was served and we passed around the tequila talking and laughing the entire time.
The boys came by and congratulated me and assured Xavier that they were more than happy in their new home. When things got a little rowdy Baylee sent the kids inside with Sarah and Emily to watch movies and have a sleepover.
An hour passed and we were all having a great time. The night was clear and the stars littered the sky. It was so perfect and my heart felt like it could explode with love for those around me. But that all changed in an instant and my entire life went to s**t.
