Alpha Bladen POV
For a moment, no one moves.
Not after the weight of it settles into the room and refuses to lift.
You are trying to correct something that has already changed direction.
The words don’t echo, they don’t need to. They stay exactly where they were placed, quiet and deliberate, as if moving them would change nothing about what they mean.
I remain where I am, my hands resting against the edge of the table, my gaze fixed on him.
Fenris koda doesn’t look away.
There is no urgency in him. No tension that shows itself. If anything, he seems….settled. Like has has already accepted something the rest of us are still trying to understand.
The room holds its breath around that.
