The air was thick with the remnants of last night. The heat and instinct with the kind of fragile calm that sat between two people unsure of what they were becoming. Viana sat across from me in the carriage, her posture straight, her gaze trained out the window but every now and then, she stole a glance at me and each time our eyes met, a quiet memory flickered between us.
